Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

I recently fronted the family court where the Judge decided my ex-wife should get $5000 a month.

Sounds like a Rodney Dangerfield line, Biff.

My wife and I decided  we'd only smoke after sex.

I've had the same pack since 1975.

She buys a carton a week-go figure.

No respect.....

FMD !!!!

We are locked down in an historic social and health crisis and the best you clowns can come up with is inane jokes ?

You should be ashamed.

You need to take a leaf out of your good old Uncle Bitter's book of wisdom and learn how to use your time wisely to the benefit of society.

I have been studying the advertisements on Demonland very closely. And ….. apart from making some new friends in the Ukraine. I have made a major medical breakthrough.

I was perusing an advertisement that offered a cure for earwax. A very cunning device that operates like a corkscrew  ( a tool with which I am very familiar BTW) . The concept is simple - one inserts it into the ear … screws away … and wallah out comes the wax - just like the cork out of a well cellared shiraz.

Now while earwax isn't one of my major concerns -  as you all are aware, tinea has been an ongoing trial for me.

So! With a bit of inspiration and a dash imagination …. and the clincher - an adaptor to fit my  trusty Makita multi speed and reversible drill , I have created a device that happily  and successfully chips away at my fungi.

Now that is social responsibility!

I think you have just solved one of my problems DC.

Constantly having thongs on my feet during these covid days spent at home, I am regularly reminded visually at just how long my toe nails are getting. I have a problem bending all that way to cut them. And, unlike BBO, I don’t have a slave to cut them for me.

But I reckon I could bend far enough to reach them with an angle grinder in my hands. Problem solved. Thanks DC.

And to BBO, I had a grandfather who also suffered from bad tinea.  I seem to remember he swore by ( or swore at, I cannot remember) the pouring of peroxide on his infliction.  Perhaps you could let me know which one it was.

glad to help, neil. you might also check out a multi-tool, very versatile

for uncle bitters, i'd skip the peroxide and go straight to hydrochloric acid undiluted. can guarantee will wipeout the tinea very quickly.

A multi tool would be too dangerous in my hands DC. I’ll stick with the grinder thanks.

The trouble with curative advice from 'my great uncle who had that' is that, well, your great uncle still had it, so how good can his treatment be?

I suggest asking random people 'Have you ever had this unpleasant infection I've got?'  until you strike a winner.

That question, reminds me of an old mate,

who asked the question, of the girl, after the first dance.
Did not often get a second dance, but he worked on the theory that 5% would say yes.

I think Uncle should try hydroxychloroquine. Seems to cure everything else*

Before relying on any information on this drug, users should carefully evaluate its accuracy, currency, completeness and relevance for their purposes, and should obtain any appropriate professional advice relevant to their particular circumstances from the President of the United States.

Great that footy is back, but personally, with the virus still with us for ages, I am finding it very hard to get excited.
However, it looks like the TV is going to get a bigger workout.

Sadly I have to agree Mr. Leg. To me going to the footy is 80% of the enjoyment. Not sure how I will adapt with only 20% to work with. The up side is in early June we are still in the running for a finals berth. How often does that happen?

If we blow the next 4 games it is probably curtains for 2020.

Hopefully Weid finally makes it as a consistent key forward, or Jackson steps up to help, even though he is young and slight.

Having read that article,   God life must be complicated or should that be interesting for some people.

$5,000 is a large amount of money, just to get your rocks off !

Looking forward to the football, can not help it, guess I am a bit like the bloke wanting to give away $5,000,

A little bit strange,     the wife does not understand my obsession either. Whatever you are talking about !

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
