Well done- we do need to have a laugh-especially this week. I won't say drink to it though.

Classic! Yet we still have people that will criticise this thread - unbelievable!

Just a quick point that I'm not sure has been mentioned...

The friendship between Jack Trengove and Luke must be as strong as ever, which is great to hear for the MFC. I realise they went to school with each other, but I don't recall them being best mates, more just school friends. I am one of the sad ones that follow most of the boys on Twitter, and it must be quite a comical thing with the other players about how close these 2 boys are. Often there will be Tweets about how their friendship, and often there are little Twitter conversations like this;

Jack Trengove - "Off to have a look at Carl Barron tonight with DeeBull (LT), hoping for a few laughs, better be good"

and the reply...

Colin Sylvia - "I'm sure you'll get a laugh when everyone see's u 2 holding hands on arrival, haha".

Totally useless information for some people, but I find it both amusing that Jack and Luke love to stir the rest of the boys up, and the fact that because they are such clsoe friends that it will have a positive impact on the footy field.

A good laugh. In these challenging days we need to have a laugh

Challenging days?

I can well imagine going to the footy in Canberra can be quite challenging RPFC :)

Reading the title of this gave me a minor heart attack. After Beamer's actions and now this I was worried we were becoming Saint Kilda.

I didn't come out of the womb a public servant...

I went every G game in 2008 and it was not good.

It certainly was to watch...

You are thinking of the word 'challenging' in the wrong context.

I'd heard that he missed the preseason trip to Shanghai due to prior issues caused when he walks in to some of their shops.

Here's hoping that the GCS come out of Sunday feeling like a china shop after a visit by DeeBull

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
