Hey everybody,

Just a note to say hi, not just to get used to this site's different format and introduce myself, but also to find the other Demonologists.

You see, I've decided to defect from Demonology. I'm sick of the infighting, but mainly have been frustrated by the lack of diversity among the membership there - no new members have been allowed to join that site in over a year and a half!!! Good way to kill a website forum. I like a lot of the people there, but the place is getting more and more boring - having only 20-odd regular posters is yawnville.

Anyway, like I said - hey.

Welcome Chopper. A great place to be, and can only get better as the Demons rise.

G'day Chopper. I myself am an old 'Ology member and, like you, I got sick of the absurd infighting and bullying and same old posters thinking they know everything.

Demonland offers a whole new environment that is absolutely fantastic and the mods, creators of the site and the forum contributors themselves should be applauded. Love it!

Anyway... welcome aboard :)

Welcome Chopper.

I'm on both sites, under different monickers, and have always enjoyed your posts and video highlights on 'Ology.

However I post there only occasionally now for much the same reasons. (Not that I post here much either but I read 'Land daily.)

You only have to check the posts on just about any topic to see which site is current and has a range of usually informed and entertaining views.

If I want up-to-date info I always check out 'Land first. Plus it has great Casey news.

Welcome aboard and I look forward to your contributions.

It's a sad thing the demise of 'Ology. Back in early 2000 it seemed the best of the demons sites but now it just doesn't have anywhere near the input levels it once had. I'm not sure what its future is with Tim's reported illness and the sites reduced functionality, tis a shame

I always wonder/worry that it is one hardware fault & rebuild away from ending

Hi.

My name on 'ology is TGR.

G'day, mine's Deestroy All.

Like everyone else, I'm a huge fan of your brilliant posts.

(I find it hilarious if not ironic that your extremely light jab at Chopper was the straw that broke his back (no offence Chop) and drove him to Demonland. 1. You hardly ever pot anyone in a spiteful way and 2. you are 'Land's most vocal supporter)

And I'm hardtack but not the hardtack that's on 'ology... it seems he appropriated my avatar though... the noive of thay guy!

Anyway, I too found it funny that it was Nasher that took on the role of the "last straw" :-)

Yeah, I left ages ago. I don't think I can remember my name - it might have been Number 27...Anywho...

The straw for me was having TGR admit that he would prefer he be right about whatever prediction of doom he was professing than for his prediction to be wrong.

The ego of some people...

Yes, yes, I realise.

But I am not that bad.

I should have re-invented myself as someone thought provoking and interesting when I created a profile over here from 'ology, instead of using the same name.

Sadly I didn't.

I've given it the arse too.. all you need to know about the current day posting experience at ology is right here:

I still post there and still enjoy it... just take certain posters with a grain of salt. I figure that on any forum it's necessary to develop a thick skin and not take anything too seriously or, more particularly, too personally.

Besides, this place isn't without it's recalcitrants; the only difference is that there is a far larger posting population so they don't stand out quite so much... but they are there.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
