Not much has been mentioned about this possibility.

If Melbourne was to win this weekend we would most likely go to 10 th spot possibly only 6 points out of the Eight

If Both Carlton beats the Sydney Swans and Richmond was to beat Nth Melb.

Worst Case Scenario is we end up 6 points a game and a half outside the eight

If Nth Melb and The Swans loose a few games over the coming weeks and we win our next Two all of a sudden anything becomes possible

So all I can Say Is GO DEES, Make us all Proud rattle a few teeth and shake a few bones on the way

A WOODEN SPOON IS NOT A OPTION

Also, say we scrape into the finals, Cats and Saints get some key injuries (half their team or more is injured in bus crashes on the way to games), we have shown we can match it with the dogs and the pies (whether they were at their best when we played is another story), we stay out of the hawks way (as we cant seem to beat them lately) and draw works out that we get the dockers in melbourne, we could almost snatch the flag this year also, why stop at just making the finals!!!

I'd just be happy for us to keep improving and win games we should win first though, but its a nice thought.

Unlikely...but what if....

I think it will be good if we push to make the finals, but if we make it teh players adn the coaching staff and the general public may all get ahead of themselves like Essendon did last year when they scraped into the finals with 10 wins, a draw and 11 losses.

If we can get some momentum as Richmond did. Finals is quite possible!

We would need to win at least 5 out of 7! Would need to beat Sydney, Hawthorn and North for double points!

Upset of the week...

The Dee's will beat Freo this week!

Freo are vulnerable and we will find them out if we run and play the corridor!

We are capable of kicking winning score's with our current team. That's more than 100 points!

Cant wait too see Bail burn em up!

I think Freo are less vulnerable this week than they have been for a long time... yeah they lost Barlow but look at the ins with Tarrant, Broughton & McPharlin. That is a massive boost to their backline and/or spine. A Dees win would be the upset of the round

There blokes might be a little underdone at this level. Tarrant wont play! Broughton would be wary injuring his hammy twice since he played last.

And Nathan Fyfe has been recalled.

Not sure if Tarrant will play.

Jurrah makes such a difference on our forward line. Withhim there, and green playingforward also, 100+ points a game is more than possible. If we dothat consistently, and our defense stands up ( I would prefer warnock there i must say), then 5 out of seven wins over the last rounds becomes possibility.

The crucial game in my view is against the Swannies at the G. Everything becomes possible after that.

The only place in the 8 up for grabs will be the Swans or Blues,so as we have the Swans (should win or no point playing finals)next week at the G,i'm hoping we beat Freo and Blues beat the Swans and then we've caught up 8 points on the Swans with the Lions and Tigers the following 2 weeks.If we can hold Pav to 3 goals,i reckon we'll beat Freo,they are decimated by injuries atm and sooner or later our forward line is going to tear a game apart,could it be this week on the big spaces of Subi,where our forwards will have loads of room.

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     REMATCH by Meggs

    The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week.
