We are no chance to win the spoon IMO. The Tigers have rolled Port and the Eagles in Melbourne, 2 of the worst teams in the competition. Nothing to get concerned about.

If our forward line kicks no more than 7-9 goals a game from now until seasons end, the MFC are a big chance to collect the spoon again.

Jack Riewoldt has found his mojo, and we should never have let the eagles beat us at home.

Hopefully tomorrow will change my view, but so far this year compared to other sides our forward line is almost a blank page.

True and the same can be said for losing to North but we have been far more competitive than many of the others around us in the bottom 6. We can still win 3-4 games in the second half of the year which will be more than enough!

Slightly off topic but Riewoldt has just kicked his 9th! My goodness has he found some form!

A win next week over in Adelaide would probably, almost, maybe, possibly, just about put this conversation to bed. Would most definitely need to be at our best to get up in that one though, Adelaide will look it as a real chance pick up the 4 points.

Maybe? Our First Quarter efforts are critical. At the moment the team is struggling to break momentum of opposition teams early.

And our draw in the last 10 games is nowhere near as user friendly as the first 12.

Tomorrow's game could tell us a lot, as we do not have our captain or Sylvia. Someone has to really stand up and lead the side.

Since Petterd's gone down we've desperately lacked a tall forward target capable of drawing the football. Jurrah's inclusion will also see Watts improve

You are not getting carried away, unlike some who think MFC were a top 4 prospect!!! MFC does have tall forwards, but at the moment they are not effective tall forwards (Miller & Watts). Green on 27 goals & then Petterd at 2 with 12 goals os not good enough, considering Petterd has been out for a while now.

Fingers crossed Dunn can kick 8 against the pies tomorrow.

We need to utilise both Dunn and Green as deep forwards, always at least one of them inside 50, and if both, one very deep.

It is still a long season ahead, but I agree that the Tigers are playing some good footy at the moment and will probably be a bigger challenge for us to beat next time around. However, just like us it's unlikely as a young side the Tigers will be unable to sustain their current form for the rest of the season and Reiwoldt will surely begin to get closer attention from now on.

He's a pretty good player & seems to hold his own under pressure. The Tigers are playing with a lot of confidence & this shows in they take risks in playing on at all ccosts - which has worked for them.

I'm not very confident of beating them the next time we play.

I can't imagine us finishing last. Even though West Coast beat us, we're still a better team than them atm. And we're miles ahead of Richmond. We'll get 1-3 more wins for the season, don't worry.

We have our best chance to win at AAMI in 2 weeks in years. We might even go in favourites depending on how we play today. Also, Essendon at the MCG a few weeks later. Also got Richmond, North and Hawthorn, all at the MCG. All winnable. Can't imagine Richmond winning more than 4 games.

Winning the spoon this year would be, not a disaster, but a terrible result nonetheless.

From here that would involve Richmond winning either 2 games more than us and developing a healthy percentage, or 3 games more than us, as well as West Coast and Adelaide winning 1 more game than us. I just can't see that happening.

Our draw is difficult, but I can see us winning 2-4 more gams, which makes Richmond's chances of going past us basically impossible.
