I'd say a fairly good effort, though I think the scores may be a little on the high side. While the Hawk backline is crud, I don't know that our forwards are able to get up to the 80's, and with Franklin gone I doubt if the Hawks are going to be breaking the ton either. I'd also probably add a couple to each of the rookies' tallies, but that's just me.

If Melbourne manage to record a win with Miller kicking a bag - number of times he will still be called useless in posts during the following weeks - Too numerous to count

How many times Miller wishes Newton was in the 22 - Too numerous to count

How many supporters views of the game are clouded by alcohol - Judging by some of the posts, too numerous to count

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
