Good to see the AFL are doing us favors this preseason, a late Sunday game in Perth followed by a middle of the day Saturday game, great for us to watch but not so great for the players. Don't expect to see many senior players that played yesterday on the park.

I'll be there.

Yes ill pop in as well, in the desperate hope that there will be some positives to take out if it. Hope Scully and Trengove get another run but they may not after the 5 day break.

Besides improving in the lead up to round 1 you what to ensure your list is as healthy as possible. To back players up this quickly increases the risk of injury at this early stage of the year.

It really is a non-issue the break between games. The bench has so many on it and the rotations are very high. A 6 day break won't hurt anyone.

And the result isn't important so the fact that Essendon is soming off a 15 day break is meaningless.

What we all want to see is a much improved performance - skills, effort, decision making etc. We have three more practice games to iron out some glaring issues otherwise all the hope and confidence we have all developed and that has been so actively encouraged by the club will very quickly disappear.

Dons off a 15 day break, Dees of 5 and a half. Seems fair

Does anyone know the state of the seating at Visy Park?

Is it still in the midst of demolition?

I was very much hoping to go on Saturday, but I'm still in a semi-crippled state so anything involving standing or too many stairs is a big no no.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
