To be fair, Y_M made the same prediction :) B)

Who?

Y_M's predictions were the equivalent of a person trying to throw a pebble into a distant bucket by taking a handful and throwing them all at once. One is bound to go in.

Jurrah will make the AA next year. Heard it hear first.

Jack Grimes

2011 All-Australian

Start your threads boys. Only I hope there isn't 20 threads on separate players for next year.

It's a quiet couple of months here, so you'll forgive me a bit of indulgence.

I'm making an early call on young chip.

All Australian 2010.

Feel free to add your own.

Brilliant.

Here's hoping your 2011 prediction is for a Demons flag...

No... I'm 90% sure it's gonna be for another A.A. Gurnsey. I'll give you a hint. His initials are T.S.

A few decent predictions in this thread.

Grimes is a few years off, but he definitely has it in him.

A lot of competition for those sort of spots.

If Jurrah stays relatively injury free, I have no doubt whatsoever that he will be in the 2011 AA squad of

40. I think Green has it in him to back up this season and if he does he'll be very close next year.

Jamar likely won't get it again.

Chip will back it up as he emerges as one of the competition's premier backmen.

In defense of E25, he said in this very thread...

Most of us backed Chip in.

Greeny was the contentious one.

Turn it up.

Wasn't much of a bold prediction for me to make a month ago.

Or even midway through this season.

I wouldn't give any credit for that.

Anyway, can't find anywhere that I posted it and I probably didn't at all.

But I did find this thread where it appears one of YM's incarnations made a

bold prediction:

http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=14693

this is my favourite part:

He will be a superstar, All Australian backman.

The real deal.

Mate comments like that are just rubbish.

It's his second year playing in the senior side regularly.

Give it a rest.

Meh. I always had a lot of confidence in Frawley, even when everyone else had concerns about his kicking (like a backman needs to kick that well). Picking him as a future All Australian (which Y_M did with most young players), isn't all that impressive. Picking the year is.

You're right about Grimes, and he'd have been my next one, but I reckon that wouldn't be all that newsworthy. Everyone knows how good he is now.

Any sights of a premiership or two in that crystal ball!! B)

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
