This bloke looks like he might be a pretty handy full forward in the next few years, does anyone else reckon we

could or should do a deal with W.C.

He's Victorian too which may help... what would we need to give up for this deal to be done?

Not a bad player, but he is a medium forward that can only play in one position. With Jurrah and a bunch of (potential) small forwards like Wonna, Jetta Melbourne are looking for another Key Forward to assist Watts. If he walked out on WCE I would consider him for PSD, but that ain't gonna happen

From the games ive seen he has been quiet impressive.

Id give pic 18 for him, due to the fact i dont rate carlisle and i recon hel be the best forward left at that point.

Actually just cghecked his height at 184, i think ill pass.

Yeah i just looked at he's profile i thought he was a lot bigger then that. Im very shocked at that i thought he was about

the same as Watts if not bigger...

Third round is the absolute most I'd offer.

Dont think W.C would be giving him up for a third rounder, hes pretty good for hes height i reckon...

This would be because he is not the sort of player we need?

Good player but he is not what we need.

Yes and no. He may well be worth a second round pick, just not our second round. 18 is too high for him.

And no, we don't need his type of player.

don't think we will go after him, but i could definately see a trade with him to the dons for leroy jetta. i know mckinley was a massive bombers fan and the eagles have their small forwrd issue. i reckon our current developing forwards have what it takes, but like everyone else says, the only thing missing is probably another big body.

I'd deal pick 18. Will be a gun player. Has already kicked 7 goals in a game. He is exactly the forward we need. Watts & Jurrah will be great but Miller and Newton are just rubbish - thus we need to stock up on more key fwds.

We already have picks 1,2 and 11. Now it's time to recruit players (but not hacks) with AFL experience.

I wouldn't go that far. I could see him doing the same job as Bate. Even Bate is taller though. We need a big key forward, not another mid height.

I'd take him. My GF loves him (WC supporter). This would go a long way in my so far unsuccessful campaign to lure her to the greatest team on the planet.

Doesn't work hard enough.

Spot on. Only plays the game on his terms.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
