Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden

    Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

    However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

    The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

    Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

    We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

We had a pretty nasty virus on the home computer. Yesterday, I downloaded Kaspersky on to a disc at work. Booted up the home computer last night with the disc and everything is now fixed and we did not lose a thing. It was surprisingly simple and quick for me, a self-confessed IT luddite.

This is a great product and I highly recommend it.

I just bought the software too, and it is great.

My laptop tends to crack the shits a lot (that's what you get for not buying a Mac), especially since I use Adobe programs regularly. But this anti-virus software doesn't seem to slow anything down, or interfere with anything. In fact, you never even notice it.

Kaspersky is not seen or heard, but just seamlessly blends into the background. Now if only we can get umpires to behave in the same way :lol:

Actually seemed to speed up one of the few pcs that is currently using it here. K.I.S has a feature to look at threats. there are things that require updates, and programs you probably don't need and are running. By reducing the potential threats the PC has improved by about 20% and that was without any viruses on it.

Great tool, even better if you picked up the free trial!

I had no idea it was going to work that well - a nice young blonde kaspersky girl tried to give me about 40 of the things and I turned them down only taking 3!

Yeah, I was going to take a bunch as well, but realised that any more than 3 and by the time 18 months came around, I'd have lost it anyway so I left them for others.

Seems great though

Humour can be difficult over the internet. But hey, what does come through clear is everyone's passion! I appreciate the commendations for Kaspersky security, thanks everyone.
