I was thinking about this. They're vulnerable. We are on the rise and they are... well... just crap. Looking at the matchups, with their injuries, we are a big show. The concern would be if in a month their better players return and regain match-fitness...

If things stay as they are, we may even go in as favourites.

Bloody oath kick them while there down !!!! Queens Birthday is the only game all year I want to win

The article is more about the supporters though, thats the part that i was interested in. Maybe there supporters are getting Jack of the whole thing.

I remember being amused when i heard that the members had to re apply for the cheersquad!

Is Eddie's dream of world domination finally over?

It's a dog of club, Fancy paying $700 for a membership then having to pay extra for seat, They treat their members with contempt. This is one of many things I hate about this Eddie run dictatorship.

They have to pay for their membership scarf and magazines as well. It's got me [censored] how they have so many supporters they have to pay more for everything just to see their side continually fail. Debut Watts in this game we will get over 60,000 for sure if that happens.

Oh no, we can't beat Collingwood! We need to show competiveness, give a four quarter effort, before going down by a goal. Then we can all go home happy and relieved that we will not win more than four matches this year.

Is always the first team I want to beat year in year out. (Honourable mentions to Carlton, Essendon and Hawthorn.)

Collingwood has Carlton this week, then they go to Perth for West Coast beforing returning to Melbourne to play Port.

They could lose 2 of these upcoming games. Who knows, they could lose all 3.

Wouldn't it be sweet to put their lights out for 2009?

Hopefully we have some guys returning from injury before then.

I'm already keyed up for it.

Actually, that might even be the thinking behind Watts' debut in this round. Great point! The thinking behind the Queen's Bday game has always been that it's the biggest money winning for us. Bringing Watts in could just be that extra touch of spice the game needs.

l think we normal do well on Queens birthday so much that l will pencil this one in as win number 2.

they can change there coach at years end but may be they should remember is that Mick has out done him self with a [censored] team.

fall pies fall and lets all kick them on the way down.

OH and lets hope they keep playing rocca for he gives us all a good giggle

Eddie, MM and Rocca are all heading toward their use by date. They look like being an honest MOR team going forward.

OK having a blond moment, but "MOR" ?!!!

We'll be a good shot to win this one, especially seeing as Green, Rivers & Frawley will all be back. If we do win this one it means that we can't win the games against Richmond or North Melbourne otherwise we'll go over our 4 wins.

Doesn't matter if we do loose though because we'll thump them in the coming years, don't like the look of them going ahead, can only think of half a dozen players who look like they'll have much of a future.

Are you blonde? :huh::lol:

MOR = Middle of the Road

Yep, and thanks :P !!!

Don't be surprised if four come back this week, as MM has been cagey. When the filth have Davis, Didak, Anthony out - they will struggle and they did. Mind you 15 other sides wouldn't have beaten StKilda last Monday, even the current Geelong line up.

They will be their old selves, when they return. I hope their supporters are happy with their team hovering around 6th-10th. Because that's where I see them.

Agree.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
