Brad Green or Cameron Bruce IMO. Special Mention: Wonaeamirri should get 3 or 2 with the win over Freo. It will be close, I can't see anyone at Melbourne polling more than 5-6 votes in the Brownlow unfortunately.

me either

Cameron Bruce 2.60

Brad Green 4.00

Players Not Quoted 4.50

Brock Mclean 5.00

Brad Miller 21.00

I thought that Players Not Quoted was our best player over the year, and will take the $4.50 on offer.

You know, they're not too shabby those odds of $4.50, and considering umpires ARE voting...well....I'd take those odds if I was betting, rather than the shorter quotes with Ablett and Bartel to win it.

I'm going on record as saying Brock McLean polled 6 votes in total. That's 3 in each of our two wins. No other player will poll more than 2 votes.

Edit: I forgot our "win" against West Coast. Maybe Cam Bruce and Brad green also polled in that game, bringing their totals up to nearly the four mark. Maybe.

I doubt anyone at Melbourne will get double figures

My pick is Ablett although those missed games might cost him

Since Travis is gone now, I'd say Bruce or Brock will get most votes for us. It will only be 4-5 votes though.

Is it possible our team as a whole wont make 10 votes :o

Yeah, but forwards don't poll. I remember in '05, Robbo won us a game against Geelong at the Cattery with about 6 second-half goals. He didn't poll a vote.

I'll make it easier.

Not one Melbourne player will get double figures.

Green... Did enough to poll 1 vote in a number of losses, as well as being among our best in our wins.

Though I think Brock will push him.

No-one will get beyond 5, maybe 6 votes.

I know this thread is on Melbourne's leading vote getter in the Brownlow.

But here's a tip for fellow Demonlander's with value for Monday night.

This bloke is worth following if you like a punt with value and one which will give you a run for your money.

He played in a side that won 21 from 22 games. Guess? LOL

He played predominantly in the midfield all year.

He had the most disposals out of ALL the AFL players.

His name is not Gary Ablett ($2.30) or Jimmy Bartel ($3.50).

It is not Joel Selwood or Cameron Ling.

His name is Joel Corey. He is at $13 to win.

My first 3 are:-

Brent Harvey ($4.40)

Joel Corey ($13)

Gary Ablett ($2.30)

Think Brad Miller might be a sneaky too. 20-1.

I'll have a guess at Wheatley 5-6 votes.

Miller 4-5.

Brock 3.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
