...... think he'll be as good for West Coast as Chris Connolly is for us.

Why? He played for the Dons and comes from NE Vic. ;)

He cops alot of stick on these sites which suprises me. He didn`t leave us with the ruthless, hard attacking outfit we would have liked. But up until a couple of years ago, we had played in more finals series than anyone in the comp over the last ten years.

Surely that deserves at least a bit of respect.

it does, but we were never gonna win with his doctrine on coaching, this is why he will never coach again

ND is a great Bloke & i Think it is great he is still part of the Big Footy Wheel so to speak. One thing Neale is, is a very good people person. He will be successfull ime sure.

Hope he will always be welcomed to the MFC into the future...

Where Chris Connolly comes from is unimportant. His match-day skills and people skill are. I think Neale Daniher shares many of Connolly's ability in this regard.

Onya Preacher...good luck son

I think it will do WCE a lot of good having a non-west Australian in charge of the dept ;)

Neale will be able to vie with Neil(!) Balme for the 'Best/Most affable ex-coach of the Melbourne Demons currently employed by another club in the position of GM of Football Operations"

at next years Logies....

So how do you play finals without winning, and what exactly was his doctrine on coaching?

well done neale! was very upset when he got the chop but his time was up and he did a fantastic job with us! should never be forgotten.

The further he gets away from the MFC, the better. He's a good spokesmen, and that's all. He was at the MFC 4 years too many.

I agree..finals 7 years out of 10, the face of the club, crap resources and "interstate" home games..he did a fabulous job ! I wish him all the very best in his new role.

West Coast could not have got two better "people" than Michael Voss and Neale Daniher into their club to help turn things around quickly for the Weagles. Good Luck ND..

?

Nothing sinister Titan, they are important people who will provide quality attributes to a proud club in West Coast who have had a bad 18 months.

Well that doesn't really explain why you referred to them as "people", but anyway, I agree with you.

I'll try to satisfy you then "People" - Football people with an outstanding knowledge of the game who people in general and especially within football clubs look up to and admire. ;) How's that?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
