Joined in 2003. Yes, THAT miserable 2003.

First contact with AFL in any form was early 2000. A late bloomer but have kept growing into it every year.

Member since 1997, consecutively since 2001 after a lack of funds cost me a 2000 membership.

Of all years...

16 for myself and multiples for family members most years since

And MCC for maybe 26 - so I WAS part of the problem but responded to Ridley's pleas two years before he caved in.

First Year!

And only because of the possible relationship with the Casey community (including possible alignment with the Scorps). If all that falls over, it will stay 1 year!!

well done Scorp..welcome to the fold..

Scorps been a member for a year..some are big-noting that they have been here for yonks.. In itself..fantastic. Could be taken otherwise. Been following the red and blue for over 44 years..been a member off and on.. works out about 50/50

Yes folks some years and eras Ive been that [censored] off with this club I thought it better to drink the money than give it to a bunch of idiots..and trust me this club has had its share. ( fortunately not a StKilda..lol )

Its great if youve been here a while.. I personally think its marvelelous if youve just come aboard as this is truly an exciting time. Many think this is empty rhetoric but I can really feel a groundswell. ..as others animate there's a disturbance in the force.

Whilst some may take deserved glory in length of membership..It also ought to be welcome any and all that want to share the ride...fasten your seatbelts !!!..Happy to welcome aboard anote few thousdand 1 or 2 year consecutive members :)

i havne't signed up since about 99.. been a bad boy.

but i'm back on track.

i think the mfc should try harder to regain members .. after i bought my last membership i havne't been contacted by the club since.. i always ment to get one but always put it off. one call from the club and i would of given my credit card number and they would of had my membership..

anyway :P

I am surprised the club have not contacted you atleast via mail, each year the club does a ring around with the help of a small hand full of volunteers to ring the many thousand members that have lapsed and believe me its extremely hard ringing people who in truth if they wanted to be a member they would either ring up or even sign up at the ground on home game day, i am not having a go at you but in general i believe we have an enormous amount of people who do follow the mighty red and blue yet fail to support.

I have barracked for this club all my life am 45 years old and this is my first year as a member, so i too am guilty of being in the fickle group but intend on being a paid up member from now on, have been to every game this year except Sydney.

There will be a thread next year calling for volunteers to help do the ring around i encourage you or anyone to have a go at it and see hard it is to re sign lapsed members.

according to the card it has been 9 years. but me and my dad are sure that it has been longer - perhaps another 4 years. not sure why it says that. perhaps it was a transitition from child membership to adult/concession membership?

Two. 2003 was my first year as a member, member for 2004, 2005, missed 2006 (for a multitude of reasons), member 2007, 2008.

My card only says one though. I got my new one before I rejoined, which says two on it. When I rejoined they sent a new card with a new member number on it, not sure why. Oh well.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
