Do you know what supply-demand is? If you did, you would be less outraged.

Do you have a licence? We need at least 3 rotating the 4-hour driving shifts. We need to stop at Iron [censored]. It is a must see, even in the dark.
  3. I will consult with my English tutor about the non-pluralisation of the word "math" and starting sentences with the lower-case conjunction that is "and". Stay tuned.

Just rock up to check-in and ask to be "on standby". They accept cash ($1 & $2 notes, and round 50c pieces) or bankcard. Ahhh. The good old days. Vain hope...yes. Other options. (A) Hitchhiking underrated. I have never heard of an MFC supporter that was a serial killer or vice-versa. Can this be a ride-share thread too? (B) Refugee option. Hire a budget truck, and just cram in with a laptop that can stream real-time here. If we get caught by Dutton's mob, make sure the blonde fair-skinned supporters are near the opening. We may get through Eucla.
  5. MFC Victorian fans should get first dibbs over WA non-members IMHO. Bigger investment financially and historically.
  6. Agree Kingy, but sometimes it's good to win ugly. But to know we have another gear or 2 is great internally. My fear is that the players have had 2 amazing crowd-backed adrenaline-filling games. The next one will be flipped on its head in that respect. Also Coast have Kennedy & Darling, unlike a few weeks ago. Before Demonlander's vilify him and throw metaphoric eggs at his windows, Kingy has been our greatest supporter in 2018, even when the simpletons (Lyon - 8 by default; Demonology slitting its wrists after Geelong and Sydney) were wallowing in the veil of negativity.
  7. Tyson has to 'know his limitations', and sometimes doesn't. Unlike Vanders, he is so easy to tackle. Hence, Tyson shouldn't take the tackler on. Tyson is also treacle. Lewis might actually have him for pace. Hence (II) Tyson's radar/antennae for footy awareness must be on-song. TGR (channeling Joe-Boy)
  8. Mate, I gave Spargo the glass-half-full treatment. If I was brutally honest, the 3 words he would have got from me was "Lucky to Play" For a glass-jaw like you, just accept the '2 important contributions'.
  9. Then you and I are in a minority. You can add Mitch Duncan and Josh Caddy while you are at it. Breust is only ever icing on the cake. In a dominant team, he will kick 4. MFC supporters and many others have been sucked into his actual individual brilliance. This guy would have done zilch if he was at Melbourne for most of this decade. Go to any hot hard final that Hawthorn has played in, and he has done nothing other than the odd 'joe the goose' over the top.
  10. Matthew Lloyd recounted on 3aw, that Viney was amongst a youth touring team (I think). Players were soft and coaches (Kirk, Lloyd, O'Loughlin) gave the group a spray and got out the bump bags. Kirk held the bump bag and Viney apparently just hit it with all of his might. Kirk had his head split open, but didn't cry.
  11. Viney - BETTER ON TV Jones - BUTCHERED THE BALL T.McDonald - AFL PREMIER FORWARD Melksham - NOT CONTRIBUTING ENOUGH Brayshaw - HELD OUR BREATH Spargo - TWO IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTIONS Weideman - COOL HAND LUKE Petracca - BLOODY GREAT GAME Neal-Bullen - UNDER MY RADAR Gawn - WILLED THE TEAM Hannan - PROVIDED IMPORTANT CONNECTION vandenBerg - IMPOSSIBLE TO TACKLE Harmes - AVERAGE WAS DUE Salem - THE NEW 'SILK' Fritsch - BAD 5 MINUTES Frost - AMAZING OUTWEIGHS BLIPS Hibberd - LOVE THE BLITZKRIEG Jetta - PLAYS TALLER (AND) FASTER Lewis - GUTSY AND INVESTED O.McDonald - PROVING DOUBTERS WRONG Oliver - METRES-GAINED KING Tyson - TOO KIND JOEBOY
  12. A majority here owe OMac an apology. The Hawkins game was only a month ago, where he was on song and delivery was almost unstoppable. OMac's best game for the club last night. A sense of calm now when he gets it. Will progress and mature ala his brother and D.Grimes.
  13. A month is a long time. Most sheep around here were calling for his head. Not many of the nervous nellies were sticking fat with OMac.
  14. I think Geelong were in the 8 by default. We should have beaten them 3 times this year. They should have finished 10th. Garry was nearly right. Just picked the wrong team.
  15. Have a look at his first marking effort on the southern stand wing. Not setting physical examples despite the 'leadership' mantra. His kickout in the 3rd should have cost us a goal too. Even when Geelong were coming in parts of the last, he gave Kelly a bit too much room. We were a 13 goal better side tonight. Their entries were small, slow and indirect. You can applaud him on tonight. A good footy mind wouldn't.
  16. Melbourne - Don't understand tempo Geelong - Handbags are back Melbourne - Rag-dolled them Spargo - Lucky to play Tyson - Could do more Oscar Mc - Where are doubters (now)? Frosty - Proving them wrong Lewis - Not physically invested Harmes - Meteoric rise occurring Jetta - Unbelievable one-on-one contests Kelly - Their only player Melksham - had shocker today
  17. Incorrect. His milestone game against the crows was relatively brilliant. On land and ology, we have tended to laud players who play well when it doesn't count or when the victory is relatively easy. He hasn't played well at all in most of our losses for mine. Lets see what happens on the wide expanses of the G, against the best teams, when the stakes are highest. Surely, they will play through his opponent and/or drag him up and beat him home. If he is an on-field liability in the next stanza, his experience counts for nothing. If he plays well in the next 1 (or more) finals, I will be happy to admit I was wrong. If he doesn't, then the simpletons will quickly forget the email and other feel-good rhetoric. There is a fine-line between the importance of Jordan Lewis, and the impotence of Jordan Lewis.
  18. Many football experts have him on the pine with 'more deserving' mids starting. Fair enough. But if you were picking a side to play for your life, you would have him starting on the wing instead of Gaff/McCrae, because he matches them outside, AND trumps them inside AND going forward too. These footy experts can't think beyond their nose.

  20. Frost will not start on Hawkins, despite doing well after the horse bolted at KP. We need him rebounding shallow entries, as he has done.
  21. On the flip side, Scott will instruct his big forward(s) to knee Gawn in the back whenever they get the chance.
  22. Whether Lewis is considered valuable or not will be determined in the next 2-3 weeks, where he will play against the best players/coaches where the speed is on and stakes are highest. If he loses his feet, and gets caught lagging, allowing Duncan 3 easy goals in the last half of an elimination final; thereby throwing us out, the glowing tributes will about-face here quickly...again. Then all we will hear is the intangibles of emails and leadership.
  23. Then I'm a genius and a fool. As for Jordie. I am crossing my fingers and toes in every minute in finals, on the big expanses of the MCG, against the best teams/coaches in the AFL.
