Yze was a fantastic hardworking highly skilled player with a good dose of courage. He throughly deserved his AA in 2002.

Then he changed.

Having said that, I don't think he has the interest to change back.

I dont see him changing and on the basis see him as a fringe AFL player next year. I hope he does better than that. I was hoping that for the past 3 years from Yze and have been disappointed with his output.

Awhile back, I had a flip through one of those AFL liftouts with team lists and a brief profile of all players at each Club. It listed the delistings from the previous year, and from memory the average was ~4.

I'm not sure how you can say that bringing in nine players is not out of the ordinary, and I can't see it happening. Seven would be huge.

ooze is contracted and untradable....of course the..&%$@! ( wonderful player ) will stay !!

Will in all likely hood play most in Zebby colours and see out year like Hollywood Bizzel did this year.

When both players were re signed, it was three years for both or they would have gone to the PSD and the Club gets nothing for them.

I would have let Bizzell go back then. Yze has been questionable over the past 2 years and possibly would have let him go then.

But thats just me and its easy to makes those calls unaccountable of the issues in the inner sanctum.

If we dispense with Pickett (rumoured $300k p.a.) and Bizzell (rumoured $250k p.a.) at year end then I think we use that money better.

I highly doubt they will get that much if we re-sign them. They are not stupid, no they are not worth those salaries.

Bizzel will except very low money for another go around IMO.

They are on those salaries now in 2007. Neither are certainly worth it. Both should be gone next year.

Both will be much cheaper next year and can be used as depth.

They will not be on that much if they come back then they are good enough for depth.

You can justify they aren't worth that much cause they aren't and if they were on that much for a year or 2 more then you would be doing anything to get rid of them. However they will not be on that much NEXT year. It's totally different when its a much lower number.

I honestly believe that with a full list to choose from and under the instruction of a good coach (such as Sheedy) this current side has the ability to be a genuine contender.
