Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Yes because Freo don’t want the chocolates, so the conversation has moved on to biscuits

Hear, hear!

Peter Bell strutting around like Napoleon playing to the peanut gallery in Perth. Goodonya little fella. Pfft!

All posturing aside Freo’s endgame here is to get us to agree to 5 & 23 for Hogan. They then trade 11 for Lobb and get the two big men they’re after in the door.

Our likely final asking price is 5 & 11, which gets them Hogan but risks them missing out on Lobb. So you can see their bind.

In any case, if they don’t [censored] Neale off to Brisbane Hogan will remain a Demon. That much we can be sure of. Hogan goes nowhere unless pick 5 is transferred to us.

I still have a feeling next year’s first round picks may come into play in the final wash up.

Fun and games folks. Don’t get sucked in by the ‘mean and nasty’ of it. It’s just business.

They know exactly what we want, they got their kicks out of sending this offer through to the MFC.

They think they are calling the shots.

Josh needs to get a few beers into a fired up Todd Viney and hand the phone to Todd with Peter Bell on the other end.  A few home truths to the garden gnome should get things moving.

That's exactly what we need haha. Our list management team calling Freo, drunk.

Dark Chocolate Royal or an original Tim Tam please.

Family Assorted were always 2nd choice!!

I’m sure the royal use to have a smear of jam in them, last pack I bought didn’t though.  Do you crack the chocolate that covers the marshmallow on your forehead before you eat them as well?

There was a Jam variety for a while, but they have evaporated, and yes to bash a Royal on the forehead before eating was a school tradition!! :)

Freo you you have it all wrong. You want Jesse Hogan you forget that he is worth the 2 first round drafts  picks. In return we will give  you a packet of Dunking biscuits for your Football Department to SUCK ON!  No chocolate Teddies for you lot.

So you're putting Carlton up as the example to follow??

What I'm getting at is either Hogan hasn't been honest with the club (during season) or the club hasn't been honest with us. Angus and Goody hosed off noise around Hogan leaving WEEKS ago, defending his commitment to Melbourne. Jesse "loves" Melbourne they said. Clearly Jesse doesn't.

Yes. It's possible to be on the bottom of the ladder, and handle a situation well. It's also possible to be 2nd on the ladder and handle a players last year poorly, Look at Adelaide with Lever. You think it will be unprofessional like that? Players rumoured to have been ignoring him, half time grand final arguments and the club not inviting him to b& f.

I think Orios are grossly overrated. Gaietys are really good possibly my favourites.

I don't like Chocolate Ripples. And I think Chocolate Ripple Cake is best left to 5 year olds.

Marie/Milk Arrowroots are the very essence of boring.

Family Assorted - abysmal. Especially the biscuits with the yellow (pus) filling.

And the squashed ants biscuits are also terrible.

and wagon wheels?

It is entirely possible the real situation is that Jesse wants to stay but doesn’t want to sign a long term deal yet whilst the club wants a long term deal for certainty thinking it’s better to take the pain now than in 2 years. If that is the case both sides have been honest. Jesse has had a rough trot and probably not sure what he wants in a few years thus told the club he doesn’t want to commit for 4 years whilst the club has said that’s what they want.  We should be slow to suggest a lack of candour.

An extremely good question bb.

Not an easy answer especially when you do not have all the clues.

Not at all OD. By all accounts this should be slam dunk , cut dried, cough up or its no go.

Yet neither side acting that way.

Quite honestly one of the most bizarre acts at the circus I can recall.

Show's not over yet though. The bearded lady , sword swallower and snake wrangler to come.

So far it's like we've gone to the show bought a Hoadley's bag and there's no Bertie Beetles. Worse some kid we've never met is taunting us with them on the madmouse.

All makes Twin Peaks look normal !!

That is what I was hoping would happen. Freo have cut their nose off to spite their face. West Coast will now almost certainly win another flag with Hogan up forward and Freo have no one to blame but themselves.

Hogan is worth two 1st rounders with one being in the top 10.

It’s now that Freo want us to buckle. If they don’t trade Neale, then the only bare limit deals for me are either

Freo 1st pick 11 and Ed Langdon FOR Hogan

or

Freo 1st pick 11, Freo 2nd Rd  pick 23 and Freo future 1st Rd 2019 pick FOR Hogan and MFC pick 36.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
