Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Pick 11 33 and 2019 first rounder for may and Kolo?

so effectively it’s 11, 16-18 and 33

its possibly overs but if we bring in May and keep 5 I am okay with that

If we lose Hogan & Tyson and get May, Preuss , Kolodjashnij and PICK 5, then Trade Week is a huge tick.

So now, how about...

Neale to brisbane for 5

hogan to Freo for 5, 11

Kent to saints for pick 39

Kelity, 11, + 39 - for May and KK

or

11, 36 and 39 for May and KK

?? should get it done...

Who said they want Keilty. But if he did and they did, it's a  yes from me.

They won't get the pick 3 comparable if they go up the ladder a few spots and it could be 7 or 8 at best.

Therefore 11 is not that far away and they are pretty desperate to put this to bed this trade period and not have the disruption next year.

I would not lose Sam Frost and that is way overs anyway.

11 is possibly unders so maybe we sweeten the deal with a later pick.

Port were willing to give overs to get pick 6 mate! Losing 11, Frost and our 2nd round pick or so is going to be far more pallatable than watching an elite pick 5 talent in other colors.

Pick 39 from saints is for Hannebery, Kent will be for a pick 50+

Gold Coast will demand Pick 5, if May leaves next year as a FA they'll get a first round compo which would be pick 2 if they finish last.

Pick 5 is fair for May and KK.

And if they win the flag pick 19. So GCS are gambling that they will be worse next year? A bird in the hand.

Would Gold Coast accept 11 and 30 something for May when they can get more next year?

I think Pick 5 may have to be used.

Quite possibly.  As much as Id like to take 5 to the draft,  I'm not against something like pick 5 for May, pick 19 and pick 29 or similar.

Would leave us with Hogan for May and Picks 11, 19 and 29.

How about Sam Frost and a pick in the 30's with 11? I'm not sure i'd take that as a GC fan. They'd probably only take 5 as they can't be bothered asking for more to bring it to that pick 3 comparable trade that they'd get next year. Pick 11 couldn't possibly be on their agenda without A LOT of sweetness.

Frost is actually a very good idea. Bringing in May makes either Frost or Oscar surplus to our needs (a little like Tyson). GCS will need an immediate defender replacement.

11 and Frost for May might be agood result for all parties (clubs and players).

What about Pick 11, and MFC 2019 First Round Pick, for May, KK and Pick 19?

When we win the flag next year that is just pick 11 for May and KK! If they aren't happy with 11 for May, they won't go for this.

I really can't imagine GC accepting pick 11 for May - do people really see this happening?

Considering they would almost certainly get a pick between 1-5 as compo next year.. Hope I'm wrong, though!

Think we also need to consider the relationship between May and GC right now. Yes, they may get better compensation next year but they may also want to say goodbye this year as he hasn't treated them particularly well with no decision yet on whether he's staying or going. At least I'm hoping that might be the case.

We were never going to get 5 & 6 for Hogan.  We might now get 5 & 11.  11 To be on traded for May.

5 we can take to the draft or deal with Adelaide for 13 and 21 or similar.

why would gold coast accept pick 11 for may when they get a top 3-5 pick for him next year through afl compensation. do your research!

Must be for you as for all your chest beating and broughahas you seem oblivious to the point.

You don't know what cards the club holds...or what it has half a hand on via other tentative deals but it's all about those magic numbers

You presume what certain picks will garner in other trades then call prematurely on something not even done yet.

Trade period is like playing darts with a revolving board. It's a fluid environment where very little is fixed.

It was a hypothetical question. Feel free to answer it if you like

What if they win the flag next year? AFL compo pick no better than pick 19, do your research.

They're probably just killing some boredom too.

Pick 5 is a good result for all parties. Get it done!

Except we get him for nothing next year....

I believe now that MFC have had this all along and know what they wanted . Freo will trade Neil today as well.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
