Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

time for those players who are hoping for a chance to play finals to show their stuff in the hope they can force themselves into the Melbourne team after we beat Hawthorn. Pederson has been doing that, bugg, garlett, jfk, smith etc all have a remote chance to impress or to cover possible injuries

If we can get kent, Baker and Vince in the side it will be a big plus. Could be a good game. Essenscum are not too bad at vfl level. Have to watch that Stewart and the little blood nut green in the forward line. We do have the cattle to go through to the granny. We have been a fairly consistent contributor at vfl finals and I think it would be good to win one.

I didn't watch much of the Rich v Ess game but apparently the Tigers were playing pretty badly and only just lost. This feels me with a lot of confidence that Casey will get the job done well, especially with possibility of a few ins. To get to their second Grand Final in 2 years says a lot about the system Melbourne now have in place. Can not wait to see how far we can go and hopefully I get to see Keilty playing in another VFL GF

The club must be absolutely buzzing right now with Casey and Melbourne winning finals.

Sometimes I forget that Casey are the Demons now...   always think 'Scorpions' before having to correct myself.

This is one club and its working beautifully.

Richmond weren't at their best that's for sure. Should've dominated in the midfield and on transition but couldn't get anything going.

Essendon did have a number of really good players though particularly the talls.

Aaron Francis - far too good for VFL, will intercept all day if not negated.
James Stewart - more than handy key forward at this level and surely the match up for Dec
Scotty Draper - very good young ruck
Nick Hind - speed machine
Jordan Ridley - classy half back with an AFL future, needs to be tagged
Michael Hartley - very solid full back at VFL level

Will be interesting to see if Casey gives King another chance in the ruck so Pedersen and Smith can stay forward.

Dec has played on Stewart before and if memory serves me right, usually does a pretty good job at shutting him down, but both players are in decent form it would seem so a big test for Keilty.

I agree though they definitely have some good players, but so do we, and I'm pretty sure we'll get Bernie back so that adds another big game player. Fully expecting Casey to get the job done well and cannot wait until the VFL GF.

Big prelim coming up. I'm expecting the Dees to get up by 18 points.

Unfortunately McKenna's out just when he was starting to find some form.

JKH and especially Vince are big ins.

Really happy for Bernie that he hasnt played his last game and will be a part of it all before he retires.

Still a chance to don the Red and Blue again at the best possible time... though we would need a few injuries.

What is the injury?

Saw him train on Tuesday. Started with being tested with short sprint runs by rehab coaches. He joined the main group after that. So the injury is probably a niggle that won't go away.

Let's hope he gets up for the GF (if we win tomorrow) as he has had such a bad run with injuries.

Good morning all!!!! What a time to be a Demons supporter!!!!

After a fantastic win like last night, that will instill a lot of confidence in the boys. I implore as many as you guys to get down to North Port Oval today to cheer on the boys, because there will be a lot of Bomber fans there. But if you can't make it don't forget to catch the game on Ch7 at 2pm.

God I hope the boys get up today and find themselves into a Grand Final.

CARN THE DEES!!!!

See you there Drunk'n

looking forward to a nice hot Burra Burger and the dim sims aren't bad either.

For those who haven't been to the ground it is easily accessed by the light rail and plenty of nearby on street parking if you are coming by car.

Pleasant walk from South Melbourne market if you are looking for some pre game food.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
