Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

If it was either Harmes or Tyson...sorry ...Harmes out.

Tyson is infuriating at times...but his games are invariably misunderstood...imho

Well it was finally nice to see us win live.

Look in that final quarter I think we got dragged down to the saints level, but i will take that win every day of the week. There were many good things. Hogan was sensational, Gawn just did what he does, the saints players tried to rough him up before the bounce and all that happened was he won the tap and put it straight down to Jones I think, so that backfired, Oliver was fantastic but I wish he'd kick more.

It is so good to see Brayshaw going back into packs, just diving in for the ball with confidence. Yes he fumbled at times but he was great today. Jetta was just awesome.

anyway at times we over handballed, missed easy tackles and at times today our tall fowards went up at once and I think we need Jeff back just to crumb it or put on some defensive pressure. But we did some great things and hopefully next week we have another great win.

Oh and I don't think Etihad is our bogey ground anymore.

Didn't see a certain game we lost by 186?

The 1988 grannie is the winner of the worst game for the last 60 yrs.

This afternoon was as far away from a bad game as you will see.

Trying to work out who will make way for Captain Courageous next week.  Thought we had a good even team effort this week.

Wise even my missus who really doesn't understand the footy that well could see we Were stuffed in the last quarter. Too much negativity on here.

Yep spot on. We were running on fumes. I wonder if we have put in a big training block with a view to tapering and peaking come finals time as we have struggled to run out a few games now.

The way footy is played ATM it is going to be a very long season. Th fittest side might well win this years's flag.

Yes, but ANB for Salem or Viney? isn't Viney due back next week? Who would you choose, I feel that Viney scares opposition players (i really like that) even if Salem is a better kick and has some mongrel of his own.

I love Viney, but think he should play 3/4 of a game at Casey before returning

Must applaud  Goodwins coaching. His use of Hogan and TMac on the wing and up forward has been a master stroke. I like him putting Fritsch on the wing and he has got the midfield connecting well. I was mad with him after those 2 losses to the toiges  and hawks but all is forgiven.

100% agree.

Interstate game that is more than winnable without his inclusion. Why take the risk.

we still have a few things to work on...

but still great to win the games we should be winning, especially at etihad...

good to notch up wins against the vic teams we should have beaten in years gone by

4 down...9 to go to reach the finals?!?

Hogan could get a week for acting and flopping to the ground.

They are cracking down on this.

Pls.. not to take offence but two points.

1/. More than a few things to work on

2/ The more relevant notion...just 9 to go.

We need to change this view. We need to go out to win EVERYTHING ..not just enough.

Just enough lets fades slip in.. enough lets % go begging... enough lowers standards.

We need to WANT it all...not just enough.

This IS actually a major stumbling block.

I'll be interested to see what happens with this - the umpire was on the right side of the contest and paid a free kick instantly, so he must have hit him high.  He might have played it up a little but I doubt he'll get anything more than a fine for it.

Very happy and relieved with the win.

Yes, it could or should have been more because the Saints are terrible.

But we are a work in progress and there are very positive signs, and a group of players beginning to make their mark.

Every win no matter how it is attained helps to build confidence and belief.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
