Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

why would Jones agree to go to a club with no prospect of success in his career when he’s been at Melb through the worst of the worst and we’re just starting to get some success??? You know he has a contract beyond this year?

* To help the AFL and Footy,,, in the biggest Job within the AFL, at this time.

* For a huge payday for his family

* To get the chance to finally share AFL games with his young Bro.

* To get to surf more readily in warmer climate for a few years whilst he does some really important work for the game, and the pleasure he will receive with the growth up there.

* He gets to really set his family up with the remuneration AFL guaranteed, with him leading that club back up.

* To stamp his imprint into the culture of the new and struggling club.

* And to get the forever gratitude from the AFL itself,  for his remaining days on this planet.

* Potential to enhance a possible media career, after his playing days with 2 clubs...  the oldest and youngest.

There is none of your hate PD.  you are the one holding hate in your absenteeism.  And don't bother coming out of your hole to UN-ignore. It's been a pleasure not reading you til now, with you in there.

Try looking in a mirror, if you think of your last statements.

Did you see his one handed pick up and evasive glide out of trouble last week?

No, sorry... I  don't watch other clubs these days, as I struggle to even watch our games in a sitting.

I watched the Storm Friday night.

Watched us Satdy night.

I don't like the congestion and the commentary.   Most of the presentation in the box.  The Ex players are killing the TV Product.

Its too in your face,,, and too Figjam on the commentary bench.

And you honestly think Nathan and Jerri would uplift their life and [censored] off to the GC just to go through more heartache!?

Sorry Deeluded, but this right up there as worse if not worser then my ANB thread.

Couldn't think of a more disgusting way to treat our captain and most loyal servant of this club.

Hodge has, Mitchell did, and there will be more to do it.

Nathan will get more years in the game doing something really important for our game.  I'm sure his family would cope really well. with winters up there.

As would Nathan, i'm sure, and I think being close to the surf would help Nathans aging body recover from any soreness as he ages further.

Extending his career.

Don't let your hostility get in the way of your thinking dd36.

And the loyal servant would being serving the game he loves.  He has 2 years left within our team, at lesser money.   Before its all over.

He will get an extra year or two up in QLD in the warm climes, on big money.

No the choice is entirely yours. I am sure Jones hasn’t considered such a heartless option, just so you can witness The strengthening of the GC $un$

F$&@ the $un$. It should have been Nought Melb.

Should have been North, your right, but isn't... they will surely end up in Tassie.

And the choice isn't mine, it would obviously be the Suns, Nathan and families, the AFL's,,,  & then Mfc's.

The Upside for Mfc, is we get a  Key defender in his prime,  to Aid us out our self-imposed 50 Yr hell-hole.

You want to be ruthless or not SWYL, or is that pretence.

There are ways to be ruthless, without shafting your Captain with an AFL assignment to the GC

Jones for May? [censored] me I wish i was this stupid, life must be blissful.

For starters, do you think the players would like to see their Captain shafted to Gold Coast for an average KPD? Don’t answer that. Go to the toilet, stick your head in the bowl and take a dump.

This is nearly worth copy and pasting to Facebook just to get a mention on nuffies of the AFL.

Right up there with the Ronaldo to St Kilda rumour.

Maybe we could do a 3 way trade, Jones to Renault, Ricciardo to the Lakers and LeBron to Melbourne?

There is no shafting SWYL, it would be by mutual decisions.  its a good fit all round.

GC die... LoL.

The hatred here, to the competition, and to posters with creative ideas is astounding.

No wonder our club has struggled for so long, without any results.  The conservative dark side is strong around these parts young Darth.

Hodge and Mitchell both had success with the Hawks. Jones has stuck with us through the worst period and should be there to enjoy the good times. Loyalty works both ways. If he wanted a big payday he wouldve left ages ago.

Yeah just saw it..   thats Barry Hall territory.. just straight up punched him 50 metres off the ball. Much worse than the Bigg incident.

Thats very out of character for Gaff.

We will beat West Coast.

Boring - I saw Jones should be a 300 game player for Melbourne and hold up the cup before he retires. Once he has retired he can enjoy what he has helped to build, at Melbourne Football Club and not some AFL franchise, which is not even a club.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
