Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

This is boring. I can’t get into 4 goals in a half in perfect conditions.

Men, Women, Aliens, doesn’t matter... boring.

I watched three quarters of last nights game. There was only 5 goals in total for whole game.

At present it is not as good as surburban reserves.

How does this quality get TV coverage?

because at the moment it's as good as it gets?

it's a female spin-off of the biggest sporting competition, and it's in modern times

i guarantee you the quality of football in 1898 was probably lower than this

in 130 years i'm sure our offshoots of offspring will be marvelling at the skill level on show

(but yes, it's borderline unwatchable...like watching the male dees circa 2007-2013)

Thanks for that DA I have Been trying desperately to forget 2007- 13.

The difference is that during that period one of the teams in the contest was good and watchable. In Ladies football they are both crap.

my question still stands how come this is on National TV?

Go Pickles Cranston !!!!!!  What a great last half.

With Daisy, was the match winner for us.

They had a real physical crack in the last too.

I enjoyed that. Stuff the lower quality skills, the Dees had a WIN!

Because it directly appeals to a huge portion of the population.  Women and girls get to see people just like them doing something that that may now aspire to do.  They, in turn, buy jumpers, membership and merchandise; they attend matches and join local teams; they get more involved in the men’s game when winter comes along.  The AFL isn’t doing this out of the goodness of their heart- they’re going to make a lot of money out of this brand of football.

On top of that, this was a great match and we have a really good win!  Get on board!

That game was so much better than the rubbish last night.

Great to see the Demons get better later in the game.

So often the girls run out of energy in the 2nd half

We should [censored] both of them- our ball movement is a class above.

I'm not the greatest fan of AFLW  (as a spectacle), but our team wears red and blue, and that's enough for me!  I even found myself yelling at the box this afternoon, and cursing at the umpires on more than one occasion.  I must be warming to it!  Well done Demons!

I thought Erin Hoare was fantastic today.

Well done Dees, I feared for a while GWS have become our "Norf" in the ladies game....but that song at the end. Ahhhh!

    ICEBREAKER by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have broken the ice for season 2024 with a pulsating come-from-behind victory over Port Melbourne in which it took the lead for the first time at the halfway mark of the final quarter. The game played in mild Autumn conditions in neutral territory at Kinetic Park, Frankston, never reached great heights in standard but it proved gripping in character at the end at the Casey Demons overcame the Borough to win by 15 points after trailing badly early in the second half.  P

    MAULED by Whispering Jack

The writing was on the wall from the very first bounce of the football. The big men went up, Max Gawn more often than not, decisively won the ruck hit out and invariably a Brisbane Lions onballer either won the battle on the ground or halved the contest and they went at it repeatedly until they finally won out. Melbourne managed the first goal from Alex Neal-Bullen but after that the visitors shut out every area of Demon presence around the ground except in the ruck duels. It was a mauling.
