Ty Vickery has retired.

Recommended Posts

Must have been devastated to have left the Tigers just before their premiership year.

That deal was already suspicious. Now it has become farcical. Hopefully the AFL investigate.

Why was it suspicious?

Most on here couldn't believe Hawthorn went with him, me included

That could be the reason it is suspicious.

I feel genuinely sorry for him. Not quite up to AFL standard, but too good for next level down. And ridiculed, roasted and hated  on social media. I love my footy but I really feel for blokes like Vickery. I hope people just leave him alone to get on with his life.

Edit: This seemed suspicious at first glance.  However, apparently his "salary payout" goes in the cap for 2018.  Assuming that's less than the total he was owed
And they can't remove him from the list.  So doesn't seem too suspicious.

Ty has a beautiful Russian wife. Jeff K. has been worried that she might fix/impact the next members election with fake social media accounts. AFL forced to step in. Simple explanation really.

Because Richmond were given a second round compensation pick by the AFL based on salary and contract duration.

For someone who couldn't get a game on a regular basis at the Toiyges in his final year with them......

It's a flawed formula not a conspiracy

Sounds about right then. We got a second round pick for Jack Watts and Geelong got a late first rounder for Motlop. The system suddenly starts making sense.
