Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Barely played at any level for GWS for 2 years, missed another full year for us. He'd want to be something special when he finally gets on the field for all the chances he has been given.

Given how little junior football he supposedly played, you would imagine he is coming from a long way back.

The games he played for GWS in the NEAFL were the reason we traded him, watched him as a youngstet and we ensured he hadn't gone backwards, I asked

Proper development now, took the opportunity when off legs to rebuild him from ground up, put on 5kg of muscle, also like Vanders spent time in Casey coaches box as a 'learning' experience

Another player who like the other young ones could be anything or nothing, time will tell

Was he injured this year?

Did his hammy in a practice match. Was expected to miss up to two months but with little improvement went under the knife (from memory) some months back. Has a history of being injured - Achilles and hip, but did play all but one game in the NEAFL last year (reasonable stats).

After watching his interview with Matt Burgen I watched his highlight package again of when he was with GWS. Reminds me of Jayden Hunt with maybe better foot skills. Doesn't mind taking the game on. Hope he has an injury free run. Could be a real surprise.

I find it exciting to see the new kids come into the club and watch their development. With Pat, as you say, we have another player who we have not yet seen and who is like another young draftee. Balic is another in this category and you could also add Joel Smith, Corey Maynard and Dion Johnstone.

Exciting times ahead.

Just waiting for some here to label him an injury prone dud :-(

Realistically it is highly unlikely that all of those you mention will ever reach what is hoped of them, but even if half do, yes, exciting times ahead.

I would be rapt if one of them would be better than average player for us. A regular as well.

I agree and think people can get carried away with the Draft,  unrealistically hoping that each draftee will make it when we all know from experience that is not going to happen. Unless you have a very poor list, it is nearly impossible to find more than 2-3 top 22 players each year.

Looking through our injury list. Forgot about this kid. Would be nice if he had a run at it.

I was thinking about him the other day. Lewis and Vince are starting to show their age, and Jonesy is probably only a few years behind them. I do wonder if he is going to be a depth option this season, and push for a spot late in the season.

Apparently he was a very good junior talent, although I have never really seen him play. He is an utter mystery to many of us. I hope he tears the house down in the VFL this season

Hope he is on the mend for good. Seems (as  previously thought) to be a gun clearance operator with good vision ahead and accurate kick to a teammate. That footpassing in just great.

I think we need to see this guy get a fair run before calling for his delisiting, the dude has been killed by injuries.

A number 23 draft pick and former U19 Australian Cricket Captain, the dude must have some serious skills for the Giants to pick him up in the second round. If he gets over his injury issue's he has the potential to be a great footballer.

This week Melbourne takes on Hawthorn hot on the heels of a six-day break after its encouraging response to a disappointing season opener in steamy Sydney. The Hawks were disappointingly wasteful last week, but they also failed to bring sufficient pressure into the contest and, as a consequence, the Bombers scored goals at will. Against the Demons, a repeat would be fatal. The Hawks are still in the rebuilding phase and need everything to go right against Melbourne which is gradually b

For the second week in a row, the Demons had to endure some particularly oppressive match conditions — this time, playing in 30 degree temperatures at the MCG, following the humid sticky Sydney atmosphere of last week.   The warmer conditions didn’t seem to worry the Dee’s since the ball was so much easier to handle, and handle it with surety they did in handing out a 45 point drubbing to the much fancied Western Bulldogs.   After a slow start that saw the Dogs out to
