People will find other ways to gamble they will go online to gamble, that's my point and the backyard is bigger then u think, stop being a nanny u can't save the world, these days there are too many ways to gamble, what u want ban gambling, jail people for gambling banning things always has unwanted effects, the butterfly effect.

Got your point and think it's overly simplistic. The AFL is doing the right thing questioning the ethics of the revenue.

Great examples of countries, dictatorships and and Sharia law countries, that's the answer we became a Muslim country, got any examples in free countries, where there is no death by stoning, think before u post makes u look silly, it does not work in free countries.

No what's simplistic is thinking that banning is the answer, so clubs get rid of pokies that will do nothing to help with problem gambling, someone else gets the money

well you asked and i delivered. you were wrong and you look silly. you said nothing about free countries (whatever that means).

but this was never the real issue. i said with respect to your initial comments that the problem wasn't as black and white as you painted it. i never argued for prohibition as that is just another black and white solution. but i guess a decent intelligent discussion on gambling  would require a level of nuance you don't possess

You said it worked in those countries where, its underground in those countries, I ask where had it worked to stop people gambling, you don't know what a free country is how about where you can say something negative about the government without going missing, where you can vote without  someone at  the polling both  trying to scare you from voting.
