Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

why? supporters abuse players every game

still.....i'd like to know what the mug said before passing final judgement

I think it's a safe bet that the spectator comment would have been on the subject of diving... Oliver maybe offered to give him a first hand experience?

Couldnt agree more. Hope they back him up this time.  Fans leaning over the fence like that need to pull there head in. Oliver should have walked away but  fair dinkum, taking it to the media...weak as [censored]. God I hate Carlton.

"God I hate Carlton"... hehe... I'm starting to love Carlton; the way we just take the 4 points away from them so neatly... Bruise free footy.

He is 19.. I wonder what you were doing at that age???

At 19 I yelled some very unkind words over the fence at Warrick Capper and that footage made the news. I wasn't to know it at the time but it was my 15 seconds of fame. I sort of regret it. Sort of

He's 19, and plays tough, uncompromising footy, how would anyone expect him to react? A considered response? Turning the other cheek?

We all love his spirit, he'll mature, but really atm, he's a kid

For real? wow how long were you in for, and how did you escape?

Two nights only. The guards stole my watch and smoked my durries in front of me. Luckily my big boss sorted it out before I attempted an escape.

I dislike Carlton and their supporters more than those guards now.

Well to watch the media hoolabaloo over this will be amazing. Nothing in this but I can see the likes of Robinson carrying on with his usual sanctimonius arrogance.

Love how goody has come out and defended him which you would expect a coach to do. But this guy wouldnt say it to him on the street. But as I said previously as if Oliver would do anything.

I had a Carlton fan near me have a crack at Oliver for falling down easily and also at Lewis.

Oliver doesnt need to put up with that but he also needs to realise dont waste time or energy on people like that.

Vince took a ridiculous dive today, something he does regularly in the attempt to get a free kick..Yet nothing gets spoken about..

I can't for the life of me understand the hysteria behind Oliver's "incident" versus West Coast...

The only thing I can pin it to, is that Oliver is getting under the skin of opposition supporters due to his playing ability. They wish they had him, yet he is a "diver" and they claim they wouldn't want him playing for their club on this basis alone!

What an absolute pisser...

disagree.

Media will discuss this n they will protect the player. their spin is the fan deserved what he got.

Gutless peanut over the fence.

Clayton shouldn't have overreacted but move on.

If he told him to go hose his concrete back yard then he gets 10/10 for great humour although some po faced PC types will no doubt freak out at him for offending the Carlton supporter's safe space. These are the times we're living in.

In the video his mate's hand is in front of the guy having a go at Clarrie, virtually saying 'steady on mate'.  There is also a lack of reaction from others.  They are having a laugh and sit down as as Clarrie calmly runs off.  So oubt what Clarrie said was really bad let alone threatening.  Also on the video, the umpire is right behind Clarrie.

Just more media histrionics.

As an aside, Goodwin didn't sound too happy about the working over Clarrie got from Carlton players.  Maybe the media should write up how they went after Clarrie who got no protection whatsoever from the umpires.

The media are just stupid people who like the sound of their own voices.

Absolutely! I love when people suggest Carrie is soft. The kid is 19 he'd be winning our best and fairest by a mile, and we are looking a decent top 4 chance. Has had 28 contested possessions in he last two weeks and isn't without a chance of taking home the Brownlow/ all Australian in his second year.

But the media want to focus on a couple of silly incidents, rather than what could be one of the best second years from a young player in a very long time.

No doubt the gutless plick made a comment to Clarry that was offensive enough to cause a reaction from the young fella. Good on him for not copping it either.  He's not paid to be the target of abuse from clockheads like that goose.

It would have been interesting to see the security response had it been Nev or Jeffy that the idiot abused.

Far from it PD. Did you see the size of him? Too much pasta, I'd say

The club must be real strong on this. Back our boy. Get the facts out. He called him a ducking diving [censored] or whatever he said, Clarrie has had enough. He has been trolled online. Smacked by the media. He needs support from Goodwin. This peanut should be the one copping flack. Let's flip the script MFC

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
