Came on here to post a similar thing. She's damn good in the media. Very well spoken, proper assessment and knowledge of footy instead of pointless banter, always backs the Dees too. She's a ripper of a footballer, great media personality and perfect role model. Also have a big crush on her haha

I mentioned in another thread, but I had the pleasure of meeting her this week at my workplace. She was here on a conference; I had one of our staff tell her that I was a massive Dees fan and wanted to meet her to which she kindly obliged. Happy to take a photo, sign a picture for my daughters and have a chat about the Dees. I urged her to keep pushing the commentary team for selection and she politely laughed when I said everyone was convinced BT has actually lost his mind and should be replaced by her.

I'm so happy for my young daughters to have a role model like her to look up to. They are under no pressure whatsoever now to play for the Dees one day!

And she had a terrific firm handshake. Good on ya Daisy, love your work!

Refreshing to have a new face on the tv with good footy knowledge and speaks in a plain manner. One of the few to understand match coverage is about the game and not for promoting themself as a pathetic celebrity

Met the staff at Ladder recently (AFLPA offical charity partner and do some amazing work with at risk and homeless youth), they said they get some great support from some the AFL guys but the woman this year have been huge, really went above and beyond what they have seen from the guys. 

One person in particular they mentioned was Daisy and on a number of occasions.

On the thread about Connolly and journalism a lot of us have been complaining about the poor standard of questions and writing from modern AFL journos. Daisy is a very good interviewer, asks intelligent questions, demonstrates she knows and loves the game, and doesnt seem to pander to the possibility of becoming famous. 

I just hope the culture of personality thriving in at channel 7 doesn't draw her in.

Voluntarily coached our school girls footy team last year. Had no reason to do it other than the fact that our school is in an area with a pretty big uptake of female footballers.

Also spoke at our Sports Presentation Night the year before.

She is doing a charity event tomorrow as well, fantastic lady...  and she will be receiving a special surprise gift which i hope she will love.  

For the life of me i can't rember what it is, something to do with auskick?. 

As for her commentary work... i suggest she is probably the best Boundary rider we have heard, although there is  not great deal of competition Samantha Lane is not bad and who else is memorable?.?. Dipper, who whilst was fun was pretty [censored] aweful when you look back on him.

A bit like when Chelsea Roffey broke into the umpiring ranks, you don't become 'the first' by being ordinary! Chelsea and Daisy both have that 'well-rounded motivated confident humble and empathetic person' that you find a lot in leaders who excel in areas not generally rewarded with status or wealth.

I'm kind of hoping to have a daughter just so she can have inspirations like this. And Lise Meitner, just for variety.

After the decent standard of umpiring in the Alice match I reluctantly theorised that perhaps female umpires might go about it with a fraction less ego. Same for the special commentary? She's the exact antithesis to the general complaints in the Ling thread. Though I have noticed Daisy's accent gets a bit more boganish on occasion next to the more boorish callers . . .
