Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Looking forward to an apology. Or no posting at all until his next stab in the dark.

Do what we did and buy reserved seats. We have 13 seats close to where we normally sit. Saves getting there early. Hope you get a good seat.

They're all sold out. Well, that's what I was told by a friend who works there. Turns out there are a few there that will be available at Gate Open.

It's only 10 dollars. You got dudded.

I thought it was $10 for some category 1 matches and $20 for some other category 1 matches. Anyway, sounds like you only paid $10.

Absolutely $10 only. Was the same as last year regardless of who plays. There are still 1000's of seats available to walk-up's early but mainly up top.

I don't. Callum is a great young man and a very decent player. He'll be an absolute jet. I just hope he's not this week.

@danielE288 an eclectic 'favourite player mix' from a few era's... are you Ben Hollands mum by any chance? :)

Glenn Lovett was one of my absolutely favourites when he was playing for us too; probably Oliver has the best hands since Lovett?

Also loved that he and Brett were NOT related...two Lovetts at once, so good

as an aside... picked up my AFL members seat for QB last week fro around $10. Did it before the Collingwood win last week so it is a decent seat.

Anyway thought I would be confident and buy a ticket for the Bulldogs match the following week at Docklands. As an AFL member I get free admission so I asked to book a seat in the AFL members section..... $60 !! .... just for a seat.... remember buying one a few years back and it was around $10.

Think I will just go along for free and wander the standing room until we get well ahead and the Bulldogs fans leave (gotta love my new found optimism !!)

Yes, I looked at their games played and forgot their bye isn't this round.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me if they lost.

That can't be right. Docklands tickets are a different website with a different setup - you don't have to select "1" ticket in the dropdown box, it does it automatically. The "1" is for a guest pass which is why you're being charged $60 ($10 for reserved seat plus $50 guest pass)

Its disappointing Hogan did not get up. It was expected he would last weekend. I never said Hogan was an absolute, just that the club was confident he would come up, that he was likely to play.

For those who seem to be obsessed with what I write on this forum, knock yourselves out.  Not everything I hear eventuates.

I only write what I hear, you can choose to accept that it has come from within the club or you can call it BS.  Frankly I could not give two hoots.

I will continue to write what I am told when this is appropriate to be discussed on this forum.  This is after all a rumor forum. This is what this site is about.

My advise to  those of you who choose to believe I am full of sh*t and seem to get upset by this::

Don't read my posts, problem solved.  Surely you have far better things to do with your time than write endless posts on which snippets of news have eventuated and which have not and abuse an anonymous poster for giving gossip on a gossip forum???!?!? Are you people unemployed? If so I can see why!  It is truly insane!

Thank you for clarifying but...

You post as someone who has the inside word.

Maybe the 'GNF' true believers need to read your post and understand that it's just gossip you are posting and shouldn't be taken seriously.

Or should I say anymore seriously than any other rumours that are posted.

    DEPTH CHARGE by Whispering Jack

The jubilation on the coach’s face as he danced a celebratory jig by the playing bench after the final siren sounded to record his team’s four-point victory over the Demons when the teams last met, said it all.    On that rainy Friday night at the Adelaide Oval, Ken Hinkley’s young midfield secured much more than four points on offer. The victory over one of the big dogs of the competition after a succession of wins over some of its lesser lights gave his team respect and validation fo

    HIBERNATING by KC from Casey

When they locked up the rooms for summer at the end of last year’s football season, the rooms gathered cobwebs, the atmosphere became dense and the place developed a sleepy feel. They opened up the rooms to let Casey out to play on Sunday but the team was still hibernating and they missed the bulk of the opening quarter. By the time they worked out it was game on, their opponents from Box Hill had accumulated five goals and, if the game wasn’t over, it might as well have been. For a se

A FORK IN THE HAWK by George on the Outer

For too long in the past, Demon fans became habitually sick and tired of watching the Hawks hand out thrashings to their side. But Melbourne’s empahtic 55-point win at the MCG on Saturday has truly put a fork in the Hawk and turned that history well and truly on its head. The Demons have now won nine of their last ten encounters with the other result, a draw.     And like a fork, it was the multi-pronged options that Melbourne had all across the ground.  It certainly helped that Hawthorn
