Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Well, no, might have exaggerated a bit.

I Don't think Islam is nearly as much as a threat as some here do. It honestly doesn't scare me. It's just another backwards religion, just that it hasn't had a proper clash with modernity like many of the others have.

I Reckon it's going through one now, and we'll be much better off at the end of it.

In an ideal world, I'd be happy if it and any other religion was gone completely. But it's not gonna happen, and it's unfair to vilify the majority for the acts of some fundamentalist morons. And don't say the majority aren't peaceful. They are. We have 600,000 of them here making not many waves at all. We have lots of other religions with stupid things in ancient texts but we don't tar all followers with the fundamentalist brush for them, not sure why we do for Muslims.

That's the most ignorant thing I have seen written anywhere, ever, about any topic.

Islam relies on views like that, to spread it's tentacles throughout the world.

Are you wilfully ignorant to the mass Islamic terrorism that is going on around the world right now, or are you simply indifferent to the people they are murdering on a daily basis?

Can't think why this might be the case. I'm sure a lefty will attempt to slide a Donald Trump potshot in there somewhere.

I'm aware of what's going on.

I just don't blame Mohammed down the road for it, nor do I want to kick to him out of the country because some people who share an extreme form of his religion are killing people.

My example is figurative, hopefully you get the idea.

Lol. What a joke of an article.

UN doesn't even use the term third world any more. Article is ridden with proximity fallacies, where you show two stats and infer a causal relationship but show no actual causation.

Islam is a threat to the western world.

Completely incompatible with our way of life.

The appeasers throw the old "dont tar them with the same brush". This only serves to give the bad ones cover.

It is far from simply terrorism related.

Female genital mutilation

Physical violence to women

PAEDOPHILIA

These are mainstream muslim beliefs.

Do you agree with them also?

No. Obviously.

As I said before all religious people, even the fundamentalists, will pick and chose which parts of their holy text they find self-serving and which parts they don't. If you want to start a war, a good way to do it is to call on people who share your religion and tell them God wants it too.

Christians don't stone adulterers, and a priest would be insulted if you assumed that he did.

I'm simply extending the same courtesy to all religions.

Just because something is written in a holy text doesn't make it mainstream. Plenty of Christians work on the Sabbath. The issue for Islam is that it hasn't moderated to secular values as a lot of other religions have. IMO it is doing so now.

All religions are dangerous (except maybe Sam Harris's often quoted example of the Jaynes). One in particular is being co-opted by warmongers and fundamentalists, and I refuse to condemn the majority of law-abiding Australian Muslims for the actions of despotic wack jobs in the Middle East.

As I said before, I'd be happy if the entire belief system was relegated to history. But that's not going to happen, and if it is, it will take many more generations than I'm likely to see.

Have you ever considered that invading countries based on lies, or funding 'rebels' to overthrow countries like Libya and Syria might just well be the worst form of terrorism? Do you know how many Iraqis were murdered by the bombs of the 'coalition of the willing'? Did you know, for example, under the last year of the Obama administration the US dropped more bombs in the Middle East than they dropped during all of WW2?

Are you aware of the refugees these kind of terror attacks create?

\I know, it's all because of what's written in the Koran.

This is not a Muslim practice. Genital mutilation is and has been practiced in the horn of Africa, has been for centuries, and is practiced by Christians, Pagans and Muslims alike. It happens nowhere else in the Muslim world, Christian world, or any other denominational 'world.

Get you facts straight.

Dieter the dupe.

I hope you feel morally pure because you are mentally defending the indefensible .

Id argue paedophiles are all throughout The Muslim world, especially "normal" in Pakistan ,Afghanistan - and are present in larger numbers than in the Catholic Church .

They detest women and the female body.

The clutoris is so evil they cut it off.

The female form must be covered.

Child rape is a basic Muslim tradition.

So is cousin marriage.

Therefore- so is brain damage.

They have that excuse but you have insane theories you develop out of some perceived equivalent in the Western World.

There is none- the West are liberators.War stoppers and knowledge sharers

The beards are cave men.Superstitious zeros heading into oblivion hopefully sooner rather than later.

Its not loony crazy like Scientology.

It"s mental like a rabid dog strapped with explosives.

Cousin marriage is why most European royalty has hemophilia. They must therefore be Muslims because only Muslims marry their cousins. Funny bout that, cos the Ashkenazi Jews also have the same problem, as do Tasmanians, apparently. ( Are you perhaps Tasmanian?)

And, as pointed out in a previous post - detention, Biff, you weren't paying attention, no doubt on Google Map looking for Kurz somewhere in the Mekong highlands - Clitorectomy is NOT  a Muslim practice, rather, it's a traditional form of barbarism practiced in the horn of Africa, by Christians, Pagans and Muslims alike.

And as for detestation of women and the female body, you obviously know nothing about the so-called Roman Catholic doctrine as preached by the lunatic Catholics of my generation.

And, for flucksake, lets just quote the good lord Jesus when he is quoted as saying, ' Let he among you who is free of sin cast the first stone.' We're talking about Pedophilia, man, it's rampant in ALL Christian faiths, Salvos included. Don't you read or hear the local news, or are you so obsessed with finding Kurz you only tune into Radio Hanoi?

Get real Biff, tell some genuine truth for a change instead of frothing prejudice.

10,000 ordinary Brits rallying against Islam.  They're sick of no go zones, Asian rape gangs, and Islamic strongholds taking over their towns.  They're sick of Sharia Courts and a complete lack of integration. They're sick of the welfare these leaches rort from the public.  They're sick of a benighted culture with appalling "values" that are completely incompatible with any civilised society, let alone the West.  They're sick of a twisted political ideology where the protagonists are out-breeding them.

But what would they know ?  Our leftist dopes see no problem at all.  Uneducated fools like Choke, say "nothing to see here".  And I'm being kind saying uneducated.

Ultimately, it's not worth arguing with leftists.  If they had common sense they wouldn't be leftists in the first place.

Hey Biff - do you have any evidence for your assertion about Muslims and paedophilia in an Australian context?

I know many Muslims who would be as horrified by it as we are - the people I know seem to adapt pretty quickly to Australian mores, and the next generation seem more or less solid citizens (mind you, I work in a university - I suppose they're the success stories - maybe things are different in North Altona, I don't know, but I've never seen statistics to suggest that there is a problem in Australia - I know there was that single case recently of an iman marrying off a child).

Of course it is, never, ever happens in Christian societies, never ever.

You know, Biff, it's just occurred to me - it's called early morning wisdom - your assertions are becoming so shrill and silly that you just have to taking the puss, as they say over the Tasman.

Why has Greece never won a world Cup?

Because every time they get a corner they open a fish and chip shop.

Or, they did once, before the Asians bought them out...

Don't get me started on the quality of fish and chip shops in this country these days...

We've had 12 terrorist attacks thwarted by the AFP.

The Bali bombings were an attack on Australians,Lindt siege and more recently Brighton .

Many Australians killed in London and Manchester last month.

It's a global problem that we help fight and try to control over here.

So far, most of the Jihadis here were so abominably stupid that the were arrested before they executed.

I generally don't invite people into my home when I know that their  core belief is that I am their mortal enemy .

I encourage you to read the Koran as well.

Until you study Islam for yourself you will never understand their viewpoint.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
