Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Just for the record, Choke, I received a warning for a poor attempt at humour regarding Stephen Stretch about 18 months ago, and Grapeviney banned me for nearly three months after an argument with ProDee. I think the evidence shows that Grapeviney basically turns a blind eye to all of ProDee's fascist rubbish, and that Nasherand Demonland, the so-called administrators, don't give a flying fluck about the likes of ProDee.

I suspect you're right. I think his body of work speaks for itself. He deserves a permanent ban IMO, but mine is not the opinion that matters.

His posts tarnish this website and community.

It's okay, Ethan. You and Pro can sleep safely in your bed. I looked it up. Hamas itself isn't regarded as a terrorist organisation in Australia. Unless Dieter has mentioned the Izz ad Din al Qassam brigade (spelling?) he's in the clear.

They’re just the military wing of Hamas, I have no doubt Dieter supports them as well.

You're a joke, Choke, like the other Israel-hating Leftist weirdos.

I'm not even Jewish, but I'll support the only democracy in the Middle East when they defend THEIR land against Islamic police states that wish them gone.

You decry me posting distasteful videos, but care nothing about the content in them.

Islamic migration enriches no country and Europe is now in a state of turmoil.  But you don't care.  Here (in part) are recent Denmark rape statistics by ethnicity.  Once again, you won't care other than the fact I've posted them.  And in more recent times reported rapes have doubled in denmark.

The world has an Islamic problem and it needs to be discussed, not hidden by Leftists like you.

No. I'm not even a leftie type. The Stalin years are as bad as the Nazi years as far as the death count: some historians say substantially worse.China too was the victim of ideological purging. I think you need to be very careful about placing North Korea into that category, I think you really have to allow the facts to speak over the brainwashed propaganda that's taken over the brains of most of the western world. Did you know, for instance, that after the USA had finished with North Korea in the fifties, after using more bombs than were used during the entire second world war there were not two bricks on top of each other in the whole landscape called North Korea. Tell me, Drysdale, what was the cause of that Korean War? When answering, please keep in mind that the greatest war mongering nation in the world during the 20th century - they've been involved in a war every 2 and a half years since 1989 as well - told blatant lies to the world to justify all of them. Do you recall the bayoneting of humi cribs in Kuwait, do you remember the Gulf of Tonkin incident, do you remember the weapons of mass destruction???????

I am not going to engage in a slinging match with you or anyone else on this site, I will say my piece in 1 or 2 posts and that will be it. My final post on this subject is that I am ex army, my parents and uncles served overseas in world war 2,  both grandfathers saw action in both world wars and I am grateful to the Americans for assisting Australia against the advances of the japanese during the 2nd world war.

Firstly, a poor attempt at humour? Here's what you wrote about the Stretch family, with no hint that it was an 'attempt at humour'. Apparently his mother is not the real mother. Mrs Stretch is a cuckold. That's the rumour I've heard, just repeating it, comes from a reliable source who works for WA police in the DNA departnment.

What a lovely thing to say about the family of one of our players.

Secondly, it was George who banned you for arguing with Pro, it was for 1 month, and Pro was banned at the same time. But we already know accuracy and truth is not your strong point.

Thirdly, if you've got a problem with me, or Nasher, or Andy, you know where to go>>>>>>> then again, perhaps we can make the decision for you....

I think that poll was referring to Palestinians across the whole of Israel, not just in Gaza.

I imagine the ones in Gaza are not quite so amenable right now, given that (according to Wikipedia) 112 of them have just been killed and a further 13,190 injured. (Casualties on the other side, by the way, are listed as: "1 - slightly injured", whatever that means - probably a sniper who got blisters on his trigger finger)

as usual you miss the point, bringing up irrelevant issues and ignoring the bigger picture

Not cool Dieter, that ban was well deserved.

So I guess nothing's being done about Pro?

OK then. I have nothing left to say.

Typical of the Left to want silence those with whom they disagree.  One just needs to see what is happening at universities across the globe.

Go and find your safe space.

Not at all what this was about

You posted ill-source bile. Apparently it is acceptable to the mods of this website.

You are a sad man who extracts joy from agitating others online.

It's ironic that you'd accuse me of seeking a safe space, given your twitter feed is clearly full of bot-fed content that feeds your biases. People like you who uncritically wallow in their social media bubbles are the reason society is increasingly splitting along political lines. Your insistence on expanding this bubble to demonland is apparently alright with those who run this site.

I'll tag @Nasher again, in case I'm wrong. But since your posts have stood for hours with no recourse, and with only a single mod weighing in but only responding to Dieter, I am not hopeful.

You are a sorry substitute for a human being.

The videos have real people expressing real concern.  You have no interest in those concerns.  Peter Sweden's post was a retweet of a Voice of Europe post.

You support Hamas and you think I'm a sorry excuse ?  I support Israel and care not of your thoughts of me.

If you can find any post of mine that states my opinion on Israel or Hamas I'd like to see it. I have made no such comments. You couldn't possibly know my views on the subject. You know I don't like Trump and infer from there.

Peter Sweden's twitter feed is carefully curated BS. But you eat it with a big boy spoon.

You're a troll. We both know it. You even admitted in a post last year that you word your posts a certain way in order to annoy people because you enjoy it.

I was under the belief that this behaviour was unacceptable on this website.

I was incorrect.

actually choke you haven't proved the content of pro's videos to be false

all you've done is attack the credibility (without facts) of the person(s) who passed on the videos

i can't see what you have got to complain to the moderators about , it just makes you look bad having to resort to that tactic

With regard to posts on the Demonland Forums, the Demonland Administrators and Moderators reserve the right to edit and/or remove posts that are considered to be:

  • Acts of personal abuse
  • Slanderous
  • Indecent
  • Knowingly false information

@Grapeviney

@Nasher

@Demonland

At the very least I believe Pro has violated the above guideline. Even taking the most generous interpretation of Pro's posts, he still violates this one.

At worst he's actively trying to inflame other posters.

I know this thread is LOCKED but I'll just add that the General Boards are not moderated like the footy ones. That is mods aren't always available to read these threads. Enter at your own risk and do not bring your fights here over to the footy boards.

I'm very close to banning politics talk here as I don't need the hassle of having to moderate between two sides who are never going to convince each other that their side is right.

    DEPTH CHARGE by Whispering Jack

The jubilation on the coach’s face as he danced a celebratory jig by the playing bench after the final siren sounded to record his team’s four-point victory over the Demons when the teams last met, said it all.    On that rainy Friday night at the Adelaide Oval, Ken Hinkley’s young midfield secured much more than four points on offer. The victory over one of the big dogs of the competition after a succession of wins over some of its lesser lights gave his team respect and validation fo

    HIBERNATING by KC from Casey

When they locked up the rooms for summer at the end of last year’s football season, the rooms gathered cobwebs, the atmosphere became dense and the place developed a sleepy feel. They opened up the rooms to let Casey out to play on Sunday but the team was still hibernating and they missed the bulk of the opening quarter. By the time they worked out it was game on, their opponents from Box Hill had accumulated five goals and, if the game wasn’t over, it might as well have been. For a se

A FORK IN THE HAWK by George on the Outer

For too long in the past, Demon fans became habitually sick and tired of watching the Hawks hand out thrashings to their side. But Melbourne’s empahtic 55-point win at the MCG on Saturday has truly put a fork in the Hawk and turned that history well and truly on its head. The Demons have now won nine of their last ten encounters with the other result, a draw.     And like a fork, it was the multi-pronged options that Melbourne had all across the ground.  It certainly helped that Hawthorn
