Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Who was it that signed for one year at the end of last year I forgot?

I want the filth to lose someone. Cloke would be good.

Eddie McFat would demand the first 3 picks in the draft.

It was Pendlebury. All their big names except Cloke are now off the table.

Pendles is a superstar. Wish we had someone of his quality. Hopefully we can trade our first round picks this coming draft to nab an established gun midfielder.

I think it's great to see so many young guns showing loyalty and signing big contracts with their current club.

Tom Scully, you are an even bigger f'ing d'ckhead now than you were last year. Hope you spend the rest of your career struggling on the sidelines.

From Scully's perspective he made a good choice. The guy's rating was unwarranted - he is ineffective at this level - and he took advantage of KS's payback obsession to secure himself some control over his life. Melbourne did not lose by losing ts.

If the Pies, Bombers or Blues don't lose anyone of significance to the expansion I will be very [censored] off. On Footy Classified Monday night Caroline Wilson heavily indicated that there was a gentlemans agreement between Allen and Eddie not to go after any Collingwood players and I'm sure Sheedy would have similar feelings about the Bombers.

$4mill for 5 years.

GWS paid more for that guy .

I'm petrified that big Max or Stef might get targeted by them .

They can't mate, GWS can only take one player per club. They already have him, some guy called Scully.

Sigh. Why did we end up with the player who only wanted money. I think now that scully is gone its good that the big clubs are keeping their players and stretching their caps. Puts us in the drivers seat when we decide to steal some players back from GWS.

I don't think it's that at all.

After shelling out for Scully, Davis and Ward, GWS don't have a lot of cap room to play with for signing out of contract players, unless they want to lose all their kids cos thye can't pay them.

As strange as it sounds, I almost prefer seeing him re-sign with the filth than go to GW$. I hope that the players on our list have this same level of loyalty, unlike HWMNBN

Yep and it looks as though Dangerfield is going to sign for 5 at Adelaide so we are going to have to develop our own. This coming draft is going to be very important to state the obvious.

Whatevs, I am fkn loving Mitch Clark.

We could've still had both.

Anyone that thinks we are botter off without $cummy are kidding themselves. When 100% fit, he was best 18 by a long way, we're crying out for a superstar mid and this bloke is the closest in the league to becomming that. Sure, would've made our salary cap tight, but we would've managed I'm certain.

It seems other top players are sacrificing some big pay days by not going to GW$, and I would imagine that Selwood or Pendle's cotnract wouldn;t be small, but they are still keeping most of their better players at the same time.

We wouldn't have been able to have both in the team because we wouldn't have had the money to throw Mitch Clark's way if we'd already spent it trying to keep Scully.

Much happier seeing Mitch Clark in the team than I'm disappointed that ol mate did a bolter.

My first thought on hearing this was what HWSNBN would think.

Pendlebury could have had $1 mill a year but will take much less and will be a club hero on several levels.

He will never been seen as a mere mercenary.

If anything this cheapens our former number one draft pick in character terms even further.

Pendlebury has fallen out of favour with Bucks it seems. How about we make a move on luring Pendlebury away from the Pies. it would be a massive coup and the most amazing '[censored] you' to the Filth.

Oct 9, 2015 - COLLINGWOOD captain Scott Pendlebury will be a Magpie for life after signing a four-year contract extension.

Oct 16, 2016 - COLLINGWOOD captain Scott Pendlebury says AFL contracts are now meaningless as players demand trade moves in growing numbers

Bucks will be gone before Pendles needs to make a decision.  A new coach will come in and Pendles will hang around.

The only reason I can see that not happening is if they are desperate to land another first rounder but, again, I don't think it will be Pendles they move on.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
