Recommended Posts

Fighting back tears. Very, very sad news.

He's a huge loss, not just to the Melbourne Football Club, but to the community at large.

Rest in peace Jim, lost but never forgotten.

RIP Jimmy. Such a great bloke. Caring, genuine. Your inspirational messages will live on with so many people that you have touched over the years. I think of all the youth that you have helped achieve great things, the Melbourne faithful and of course, your friends and family.

I am a better person for having met you and shared some great conversations.

A sad moment for the game but what a legacy to leave behind.

All the best to his family both near and far.

He was a true testament to humanity and will be remembered always. R.I.P. Jimma..

What can one say? Absolutely shattered and can only imagine how those close to him must be feeling. If any positive can be taken out of this, it is the legacy he has left behind in his work with both our club and his Reach Foundation and the enduring memory of what a selfless person he was. Vale Jimmy!

Rest in Peace Jim...we've lost a legend, but all thoughts for Sam and the kids - they've simply lost a husband and Dad.

Without Jim, we probably wouldn't have a football club to watch and talk about any more. What a hero, what a legend. Thoughts are with his family and friends.
