Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Don't know why, on such a windy day, they think that up-and-unders in Robbo's general direction are a good tactic. How many times is he going to get it against 3 opponents all 10cm taller than him? Has to be the lowest-percentage play possible.

robbo is a low percentage non trying footballer, iv been watching fall to the ground for 12 seasons, hes a disease in that forward line,if he didnt play with neitz beside him for 200 odd games he would be lucky to have 250 goals beside his name,he simply doesnt try when the opposition have the ball.

Jurrah about the only one that's shown something in my books (and Bruce is battling away hard in his 200th). His (Jurrah) pass to Petterd to set up our first goal was exquisite. Also, I think Bartram might be playing for his career and is playing really well, I think he can hold his head high. However, today Geelong are a cut above us.

Interesting to hear everyones thoughts on the Female commentator.

I don't think Richo is bringing much to the table.

Why are we bothering?

The umpires are going to make sure that the Cats win the premiership this year. Just call it off now - hand them the flag, hand us scully and we can all concentrate on how poor the Aussie cricket team are (don't get me started on those impires!!!!).

Seriously, the 1st half today was the most biased, 1 sided display of umpiring i've seen all year. You can't touch Geelong, and nothing they do gets paid. Its not like they need the assistance.

This game will please everyone. We lost as we knew we would so the tankers are happy, but we showed plenty, especially the young guns (but god how we need Scully!). Take away the charity goals and the junk-time goals to the Cats and it's even better.

Yep a great result.

The first quarter was the thing that killed us, because from there we won two of the three remaining quarters and really did well shutting Geelong's attack off the half back line... except for bloody Scarlett, who might be the only defender that needs to be defended!

The best aspect of today was that Jurrah, Grimes, Bennell and Morton showed the most exciting glimpses out on the ground, which gives us a lot of hope.

Jurrah and Grimes are on their way to superstardom, and Morton up forward is definitely a good future prospect.

To our credit we didn't completely crap ourselves after the first quarter and stood up.

The margin is about right when the worst team in the competition (apologies to Freo), play the best team in the competition.

Absolutely agree on Jurrah Grimes Bennell and Morton, but i'm surprised nobody has mentioned Bate. He was really good today, kicked some great goals and put on a lot of pressure up the ground. He may have been crap early in the season, but lately he's been showing a lot. If he keeps this up he's definitely going to be sticking around.

Master Bate played an excellent game today. Put him in front of a class Midfield & he will perform no doubt.

Agree on Bater! He is having a decent year in a forwardline that has been getting some pretty ordinary delivery from the midfield. Big future for Bater IMO

Call me sexist but i couldnt stand Kelli Underwoods call today, her voice is horrible, she makes alot of mistakes and she goes way over the top on nothing plays. If it was a male commentator she d be laughed off. But then when you look at blokes like Wallsy i probably shouldnt criticise..............

I don't like her voice really, Just started to listen to it but it's doing nothing for me.

Don't really like hearing tim lane's voice either.

Not a good voice for radio either. Actually she looks much better than she sounds. Needs some timbre. Actually, as a woman, she could rightly get away with a few "what a turn on" (s) and "delicious" (s).

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
