The Ox and Marko sacked by SEN

    Looking for 3MP?

Brendan McCartney - Demoted to the bench

Sounds all plausible. It could also be just a case of McCartney being more suited to arresting the possibility of players throwing in the towel again at ground level. Appreciate your feedback and anything further that may arise. Cheers

Would be interested in the views of @Leoncelli_36 on this matter

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 5

This is interesting as I could see Weideman coming in to be that tall target while Hogan is released up the ground to hopefully run amok. The problem with that theory is that the Weid is left in the forward line with Rance - cant see that working too well although I know Gawn will spend time in the forward line at times. It says to me that Hogan will have to spend more time up forward or Weid will play an unusual role.

    Changes v Richmond

Yes - although he covers a lot of ground, is a pest and manages to find the footy in the forward line, his direct opponent is more concerned about either setting up forward play for his own team or leaving Bugg to help out other defenders with players such as Hogan. Bugg isn't damaging, even when 10 metres out from goal - I know every now and again he'll slot a couple, but he won't be taken seriously until he either kicks goals like a footballer or negates a playmaker.

This is the week where we don't really need a second ruck with Grigg the back-up ruckman, but Harmes was horrible so it's out of Petracca, Pedo and Weed. If Hogan's going to float around, it has to be Pedo or Weed to give us a target up forward (unless Gawn is resting there - how could we go past Gawn's kicking for goal?)

Out Harmes (wtf?) Lewis (don't care if you're VC) Frost (clueless) Bugg (complete liability package) In: Hunt (for Frost) Pedo or the Wied for Harmes, Hannan for Bugg and Tyson for Lewis Find some form fast Melksham and ANB or bring in Stretch for either of them. Melksham looked white hot before the season started.

Well they can just invent an injury for him - calf will do!

Post Match Discussion - Round 4

Trying not to post until I calm down, but failed: AFL is a largely winter game - don't effing turn up to a game in wet whether and (attempt to play) play summer footy. When in doubt, composure's out We spoiled each other more than Hawthorn Dumb footy followed by dumb footy. I think all defenders should go for the mark/spoil 20 meters in front of the Hawks goal - it's working really well. Panic Panic Panic Hawks read Gawn's taps better than us Clarkson - Just do X, Y & Z and watch them crumble - Dimma says thanks! NB - Fortunately I've deleted plenty of comments on players.

    Lyon on Brayshaw

Yes, makes sense and I'm hoping he's in, but it wouldn't blow me away if he isn't.

On the extended bench so not necessarily

    Hawks on Sunday - Predictions

I think we'll do alright if there aren't any Kent Kingsley Award winners like Tim O'Brien
