  1. Terrible outcome. We all know Richmond are beatable pretenders but the last thing we want nipping at our heels are a rejuvenated Swans.
  2. Search 'Jake Lever and Daniel McStay' in Google and open the article at the top from there.
  3. GWS really botched that. So many chances to nab a draw minimum in the last minute and end up losing. Not to mention all the selfish running shots at goal. Not unhappy with the result though, keeps GWS from dominating at the top.
  4. Carlton looking the goods against GWS. Can't be bothered checking but what's the result of bye vs non-bye teams this round? I know Sydney won after their bye but last round both bye teams lost (Port and Suns).
  5. Unfortunately Essendon have an advantage over us in the race for a finals campaign: they were gifted an easier draw after artificially finishing dead last in 2016. That means more games against against crap opposition, more opportunities for percentage boosters and in such an even season that's critical.
  6. True, I just feel it's just a mindset thing. After so many years of mediocrity, just securing that W is gold. Like Roosy used to say, the percentage looks after itself (and fortunately ours is quite healthy with all those close losses).
  7. Let's just focus on beating them, forget the percentage. There were identical posts before the Fremantle, Hawthorn and North Melbourne games and look what happened.
  8. That's the Seven commentator mantra. State the bleedingly obvious.
  9. I get the feeling Hodge is being groomed by Seven to replace Ling next year. He regularly bobs up on random games to commentate, so he's planning for post-retirement employment. But yes, Ling is thoroughly shithouse. And you just know every time one of the commentators spew out statistics, they've been fed straight into their ear by a producer. It's as robotic, forced and unconvincing as a newsreader reading a teleprompter. Insufferable, the lot of them.
  10. Exactly, very favorable draw due to 2016 ladder position and have beaten up on very ordinary teams for the first half of the season. They're enjoying another false sense of accomplishment, as they did in 2014. Their list is very ordinary once you get past Ryder, Wines and Gray. Wingard epitomises their downhill skiing mentality.
  11. Yep. Had a funny feeling after listening to Hinkley on 3AW earlier raving about how underrated their players were and how improved his coaching was this year. Melbourne consistently struggles to put away BOG ordinary teams, so fortunately the last label you can give us is downhill skiers (unlike Port, Adelaide, West Coast, etc.)
  12. That was my interpretation. He certainly makes little impact on games. Is he not ready or simply not good enough? Have the Saints bought themselves a lemon?
  13. He's special, no denying that.
  14. Elliott strikes me as a really good kid. So much talent crippled by injuries.
  15. Exactly. Shiel, Kelly, Cameron, Greene, Mumford, Shaw, all playing.
